2 Weeks over Christmas were perfect! Decor not very 'modern' but nice enough, and who is looking at that when you have those views! Reef outside was wonderful and all to ourselves, when the sea is calm its very easy to walk straight in - magic! We had the whole house, so was great to have access to both balconies to make the most of the sunsets and sunbathing! Apartments were well maintained and had everything you need. Short walk from the fish fry - very tasty and friendly. If you are going to buy and cook fish, get there when they come in, it goes quickly - best to go and ask the times when you arrive. You can go and see the turtles when they bring the fish in - again best to ask advice on timings. Little shop has enough to keep you going, but you will need to go the main supermarket in Speightstown. People tended to take the corner next to the house a little fast, so be vigilant and carry torches at night. Parking space not the easiest spot, took a little practice. All issues were dealt with very quickly and efficiency, by lovely and friendly people. Overall- wonderful house and location. Out the way of most of the tourists, so nice and quiet, which is exactly what we wanted. Hoping we can return soon!

Stayed for 2 weeks over Xmas. Well appointed excellent location away from the over commercialised south and west. The downstairs appartment had a good sized balcony for sunbathing. The upstairs balcony is perfect for 4 people to enjoy the sunset. Greetings swimming and snorkeling literally on the door step. Locals are very friendly. Attentive owners and caretaking. Any problems were sorted immediately. The one star review I've seen previously is plain wrong.

Sea Spray Villa near Moontown Barbados Lower apartment Perfect place for a memorable Barbadian escape The lower apartment is located beyond a locked gate, down a flight of steps to the side of the building with bedroom and living rooms looking out to sea. Very spacious, it’s incredibly well designed and equipped for comfortable living. We found the landline useful for free local calls plus excellent WIFI. We appreciated air conditioning in the bedroom which combined with two large, comfortable (but creaky) single beds enabled a good nights sleep. The bathroom is not the most modern, but it makes up for this with ample space, hot water and towels. The shower is absolutely vast. Despite a breakfast bar and dining table we always ate on the huge terrace, rain or shine. It’s nicely furnished with sunloungers, table, chairs and parasol. Many hours were spent here watching sea and wildlife, my long list of sightings is impressive, with only mongooses seen elsewhere. Luckily both neighbours have plenty of vegetation which provides good habitat. On several mornings an open fishing boat would pause over the reef to hand cast a small net, harvesting a few of the pretty little fish. Steps lead down to the sea, at times safer to only use as a foot spa, sometimes suitable to access a swim, undeniably a fantastic feature. The parking space is compact if both apartments have a car. Bus stop convenient for memorable excursions at incredibly low cost. The impressively attentive owners live abroad, yet took care to ensure any queries were addressed, giving us confidence in their commitment to happy holidaymakers. Local cleaner and caretaker particularly efficient. In unspoiled Moontown the friendly local inhabitants were most helpful. It is a village where all your needs can be fulfilled at the small, but tardis like supermarket. We found two places to eat out and one take away (at the excellent local shop) within easy walking distance, as well as (huge) pizza delivery. I was concerned that the busy road might be intrusive, but need not have worried, the proximity of the sea is far more pleasantly noticeable alongside the delightfully noisy nocturnal fauna. Barbados can be an expensive destination, yet when staying at Sea Spray it is possible to enjoy stunning sunsets, sunloungers, sea, snorkeling, sightseeing, seafood, socialising etc at very reasonable cost without skimping in a secure, and very private environment. Highly recommended.
