Caves and Critters Tour - Nov 25. A great tour to see the nature reserve and Harrison's caves. Communication good from Suntours via email and we were updated with pick up time 24hrs before. We had paid for a group tour but due to numbers were actually given a private tour at no extra cost. Driver was wonderful, took time to explain landmarks and history during journey and guided us to exactly where we needed to be at both locations. Waited for us patiently when we visited the attractions. Would highly recommend this and Suntours in general.

We ordered a car to take four of us from our hotel to Hunte's gardens and back using the Sun Tours website. The price was quoted and agreed and the arrangements confirmed. We needed to alter the pick up times and this was easy to achieve. The car arrived on time at the hotel and was very spacious with a very courteous and knowledgeable driver - a credit to the organisation. We enjoyed the visit and were picked up and taken back to the hotel in comfort. The total cost for four of us was very reasonable - better than an organised trip as we could travel when it suited us! We booked a Scenic guided tour around Barbados via air conditioned bus and it was awful from start to finish. The boarding was chaotic, with people boarded then forced to get off the bus and put in other buses. No guide was provided, but the bus driver would pipe up now and again with some mumbled tidbit of information. The tour itself took 1 1/2 hours longer than initially indicated. No water or refreshment offered even though it was indicated this would be provided. The tour itself was mostly through small areas with lots of poverty, not a scenic tour around the island. The one garden spot we stopped at was basically a goat trail up and down a steep hill (this was listed as an easy tour - i was with my 82 yr old mother) and many on this tour were elderly. Most could not make it even half way on the garden portion and 2 folks had to be brought up by wheelchair after they had started the garden walk and realized the intensity part way and needed to stop. The tour guide provided by the gardens walked ahead of us, reading tags from the plants and seemed to have no knowledge and few answers to questions asked by participants (although the gardens were more a jungle walk, but beautiful in its own way) The washrooms cost $1 each to use (again, not indicated), the only water available was $3 per bottle. We have gone on quite a few tours (via the Princess Cruise line) and have found them all to be informative and interesting. This is the first one by Suntours and by far the worst one we have ever taken. The cost for this debacle was $85 US each and was an incredible waste of money and time.

We had already booked our airport-hotel-cruise ship transfer with Sun Tours and were assigned André Aqui as our driver. The experience was so pleasant that we decided to hire Andre as our local guide to bridge five hours between disembarkation and check-in at the airport. When we left the ship Andre was welcoming us assisting with the luggage and giving us a quick overview of the city of Bridgetown. From there we headed up along the West coast stopping at a few lovely view points and for an impromptu snack lunch. We went back down South along the East coast stopping at a couple of more interesting locations. During the day we always felt well looked after in a comfortable car, never rushed Andre alsways ready to provide assistance and acting as personal photographer ;-) It definitely was a good choice to go for this private excursion with Andre rather than the one offered by the cruise line. We cannot recommend André (and of course Sun Tours) highly enough.

Very good communications at booking stage. Suntours were also very accommodating when I made a change to our return transfer time. Excellent service, highly recommended. Will definitely use again!
