Food was good. Ordered blackened chicken and shrimp. Both were cooked well. Service, however was absolutely poor. I understand that the pace in Barbados and other islands is slower. That's fine. But the waitress seemed annoyed at taking our order, then never came back to check on us in the 1.5 hours we were there. I had to go up and ask the bartender for my bill. While we were there, there were people openly smoking in the restaurant (we were outside, but there were signs everywhere that said absolutely no smoking). Vat tax, service charge and gratuity were already on the bill.

We mainly go here on a Sunday evening to listen to a regular reggae band that we love.
Small entrance fee high season I believe but you’ll have a fabulous evening.
Indoor/outdoor space overlooking ocean with a MASSIVE outdoor space including a large ‘bush bonfire’ with recliners and chairs to sit around under the stars!!! Fabulous…….. then wander up to the band for a dance & another cheeky rum punch!
If you’re on the west coast it’s definitely worth a visit.
I have been there mid week early evening for a quiet drink & service is good and friendly.
Would I return - Absolutely
Would I recommend - do it!!
I haven’t eaten here so am unable to rate the food
It’s not fair to comment on service as a Sunday night is packed to the hilt but the bar staff are friendly, efficient and make a decent cocktail.

Food was ok. Pretty basic stuff. Service was slow like everywhere on the island. They forgot one meal as well so someone ate on their own. Beautiful sunset views though

Don't be impatient here. Bust popular establishment. Took a while for food to come but it is 100% worth the wait. Flying FishCutter and Chicken Cutter were great

We visited Surf Side restaurant and Beach Bar a number of times during our visit to Holetown. The food was great, many options for seafood. Priced reasonably and right on the beach. Mostly the staff were friendly…….with one exception for no apparent reason who was grumpy to everybody.
