We were walking down Dover and passed Tabu bar. We stepped in for a nightcap and found a treasure. The moment we walked in, the auroma of wood wrapped itself around us and invited us in. The bar and restaurant were recently renovated and it is beautiful. We ordered after dinner cocktails of Crown and ginger, Woodford and ginger and I had a margarita. Perfect! We enjoyed the bartender and the drinks and decided to make a reservation at the restaurant next door for Friday night. We arrived the following evening for dinner. We drank tap water during our entire weeks stay. The tap water here is so clean and fresh. The food was fabulous. So flavorful and seasoned deliciously. The shrimp was spicy, the ribs were juicy and full of flavor. The chicken parm was peppery and full of flavor and the dipping sauce for the chicken balls was amazing. The Sax player was just the perfect touch for our meal. Our server: perfectly attentive, smart, beautiful and on point. Absolutely would dine here again. We then headed arou.d the corner back to the bar for after dinner mudslides. The perfect ending on our last night. Palate cleanse Finger bowl Sax player

We chanced upon this restaurant and I’m so glad we did, we are a large family group of 9 and all of us said it’s the best meal we have had while being in Barbados. I had the catch of the day which was barracuda and was served with veg and an amazing sauce - it was so good that we will back before we head home! The staff were really friendly and attentive, the decor was awesome too. It was similar prices to our hotel without the additional hidden costs. My dad who doesn’t like fish really enjoyed his steak while my Bro-in-law had the lamb cutlets.

We had an incredible dining experience at Tabu! The food was absolutely amazing — a solid 10/10 for flavor, presentation, and quality. Every dish was prepared to perfection and exceeded our expectations. The service was equally outstanding — another 10/10. The staff was warm, attentive, and made the entire experience unforgettable. A special shout-out to Kellisha and Nick, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Their professionalism and friendliness truly stood out. If you’re in Barbados and looking for a top-tier restaurant with exceptional food and service, Tabu is a must-visit!

The atmosphere was pleasant and the music added a good touch for a night out. Unfortunately, those were the only nice things about the restaurant. The food was not delicious and the mashed potatoes had lumps with a slimy consistency. Honestly, I could not eat the meal. I was solely hoping in my heart that I was not served leftovers. To make matters worst some parts of the food was lukewarm and others cold.

Absolutely top quality restaurant. We have eaten here 6 times in the last month and eaten at almost every restaurant! Every time the food here was absolutely outstanding. The service from Kaieysha was also outstanding. Don't waste your time going to Champers. This is much better!!! Jadon makes the best mud slides too.
