Magnificent views and a stunning contrast to the beautiful low lying west coast. Wouldn’t say we received the island’s warmest welcome but we managed to get a smile before leaving. Vibe picked up when a bunch of local guys arrived for lunch, plenty of jokes and laughs and we had a great chat. Keep expectations in check with the food, but the vista is not to be mista!

We waited over 1 hour 30 minutes for food and only half the table was served. The rest of the group sat watching us eat, which was awkward and uncomfortable. Their meals arrived almost 2 hours later, but because we were on an island safari they had no time to eat at all.
The queue at the bar to order food was extremely long and everyone looked visibly frustrated. Simple questions took far too much time. I asked if unsalted nuts were available and the response was “I have to check” rather than a basic knowledge of what is sold. Asking the price of ice cream also required checking. There is no visible price list apart from the menu, which only adds to delays and wastes customers’ time while standing in an already long queue.
There are clear organisational flaws. When you have a table of guests, staff should come to the table and take the full order in one go, instead of calling out for two people at one table, then searching for others sitting elsewhere. It was chaotic and inefficient.
It is a real shame because the food I had was nicely cooked. Unfortunately it was completely spoilt by poor service, which sadly seems to be becoming the norm in Barbados.
If you genuinely want customers to return, these issues need to be addressed seriously.

The view is wonderful but getting there is a bit of a challenge. The food and atmosphere were just okay.

The views are incredible! The restaurant itself is very open and there is a nice breeze as it’s on a hill. Service was acceptable. Our party got ribs, Bajan fried mahi, potato wedges and sweet potato fries. Everything was very good and fairly priced. One of the hidden gems on island. Would highly recommend trying it.

Went with some local friends. Had a great time the food was delicious, right up on the hill, worth the effort to get there just for the views and food. Excellent service, it’s now my fav rum shop. Reasonably priced.
