Best place around for fish cutters and cold beer. Cheesy wedges were great also. Always a comfy seat and good tunes on. 3 for 12 on deputy also great! A must if your in Fitts village or close by, 5 min walk from Paynes Beach.

Such a surprising wee place. The best fish cutter we had anywhere on the island. The fish cakes are superb too. They play great music and have generally created a very nice atmosphere. The owner, Iwayne, his staff, and customers are all incredibly friendly and welcoming to the tourists. Just extremely good, casual Bajan food and drinks in a very social environment.

Be careful of falsified reviews. On Saturday, February 1, 2025 after reading others' reviews, I visited The Golden Anchor. Ordered fish cutter ($15) and fish cakes ($5). The fish cakes were well seasoned but oily to the maximum degree. The fish cutter Marlin was dry, and the salt bread was hard and stale as ever. I don't usually writr reviews, but I was so disappointed. Expectations were set high with all the reviews to be let down by the reality of what I tasted. Maybe I came on a bad day, but all considered, I will try other spots and leave this as a lesson learned.

Most of the restaurants here are closed on Sunday - it’s a day made for relaxation and family time which is amazing ☺️ I was searching for a place to grab some seafood and One of my pickup drivers suggested this place for a meal. Kudos to him bc the tuna steak was DELICIOUS!!! The staff were friendly and welcoming as well.

you can eat in a nice restaurant anywhere in the world, but you can only have a real Bajan experience in places like this. Great food, and very nice drinks. I-Wayne the owner is a legend, and you will leave this place with a big smile on your face, and a full stomach, singing Reggie songs.
