The Mews reminds me of a balcony restaurant in Louisiana. Everything was excellent - food, drinks, service. Only thing I would fault is the bread pudding, but probably a bit too much to eat after entrees, drinks, and main course. Definitely not the fault of the restaurant, more eyes bigger than stomach for me. I’d certainly recommend and will be back next time I’m visiting.

It was good to be back at the Mews for another birthday dinner after a few years, the ambience is as lovely as I remembered as it still remain one of the oldest restaurants on the street with a live singer, welcoming staff and good food. This time I dined in the main dining room upstairs as the ground level is only for lounging...whether it be for pre or post dinner drinks or just listening to a live band on some nights...deejay comes in the later part of the evening. The menu is varied with a new chef on board who served up delicious dishes, my four course meal was tasty and satisfying...with good waiting time in between..so nicely paced. The birthday surprise at the end is a nice touch for diners who are celebrating, located in the heart of Holetown on 2nd street...it comes highly recommended by those who visits.

We had a lovely evening here. We had a couple of drinks in the bar and listened to some really cool music. The ambience of the bar area is lovely. We then went upstairs to our table, which was equally as nice and ordered a salad to share for a starter and for the first time ever, the kitchen shared the salad on 2 plates which was a really nice touch. We then had the catch of the day and belly pork, bith lovely. The risotto that came with the pork was outstanding. For dessert we had the chocolate pot which was also delicious. The service was excellent and when we left, it was a lovely touch for them to say goodbye and my name. We loved it so much we have booked again for Saturday.

Put this on your list of top places for dinner! Food was excellent - try the Sicilian fish soup; and for mains the lamb ragu. Wine list has some gems including a well priced Barolo. Servers were friendly and service was great. Highly recommend. J
