This exceptional rainforest garden is reputedly the origin of the grapefruit. From the vantage point, one can enjoy a splendid vista of the East Coast. One of my Top 10 places

A must see. We grabbed a taxi from the cruise terminal and our driver Mr. Smart was amazing. We asked if he'd provide us a tour of the island with the ride to Welchman Hall and then return us to Carlisle Bay. What a great way to see the Island at roughly 60 USD per person. Mr. Smart waited for us to explore the natural reserve then drove us to Carlisle Bay and came back to drop up back at the port for our cruise. No wait and it was private. Just cant beat it having to wait as with typical tours for about the same price to wait until they fill each van you can be sitting for 30 to 45 minutes.

Excellent walk through nature. Beautiful trees and scenery. The only animals we actually saw, the day we visited were roosters 🐓 who could not wait too greet you. 🤣

Monkeys not guaranteed. They say feeding between 10:30 and 12:00 but they haven’t been around for a bit. However after talking to the staff they went off to find them and encourage them down as the troop is fairly young they’re nervous of humans. If your into millipedes, snails, slugs and a couple of scrawny chickens then this is the place for you. A nice walk through the gully but not much else.

100% best nature walks, self guided path, no shortage of beautiful trees and if you are blessed you will see monkeys. They have specific feeding times, so call to confirm, after lunch time, you may see them chilling and playing.
