Overall my experience at SeaView was alright for the night. My first impression when I entered the room, I was good; it looked tidy and cozy. The room was relatively clean, the bed was well made. I needed to use the bathroom right away and as I sat down I noticed some areas that could have been cleaned better but no biggy at this point. But the longer I stayed in the bathroom, the more things I noticed. I noticed that when I was about to open the liquid soap, it looked used so I decided to use a soap that looked unopened. I wanted to go out for NYE celebrations and as it was listed as not a far walk from th le beach, I thought perhaps . The area and place WAS SO DARK (more lighting for safety reasons as a single woman is needed) that I had to change my plans. Now at day break, I could more clearly see some issues with the room- my qualms were with the bathroom. In the morning I noted the faucet needed serious scrubbing as there was mold; the bath mat in the tub had unidentified hairs in it before I even got into the tub (I was grossed out and removed the mat using gloves I brought). Despite the booklet detailing all the things you would be charged for (including the towels if stained), the WHITE towels were stained with a yellowish ting before I even used it. I am super cautious with these things so even before I bathed, I took pictures just in case. Also, it looked like the toiletries had been used and placed there for further use. Again, I took pictures as I am a bit of a germaphobe and particular about my bathrooms.

This was by far the worst stay I’ve ever experienced. If you’re looking for privacy, forget about it—the host enters your room whenever they please, without warning. One incident was especially frustrating: I left my laptop plugged in to run important processes, and when I returned, they had unplugged it without asking. On top of that, they seem to be trying to save on absolutely everything. Essentials aren’t provided—you’ll need to bring your own, including toilet paper. If you don’t, expect a phone call from the host telling you how and when to manage your personal hygiene. They only give you two towels for the entire stay and, absurdly, just 10 matches. Even worse, they police your use of the air conditioning, making it feel like you're being constantly monitored. The place is called Antigua Seaview, but don’t be misled by the name—you’ll only see a tiny strip of water in the distance. The room itself is outdated, with old, uncomfortable furniture and poorly maintained amenities that look like they haven’t been updated in years.

What a fantastic place - we were only booked for one night but would happily stay for longer! Very clean & comfortable, king size bed, large bathroom, great air con & WIFI, well equipped kitchen & fantastic panoramic views! Thanks Donna for your warm welcome & airport pickup / cruise transfer!

Booked a 10-day stay at Antigua Seaview, hoping for a relaxing getaway and a scenic view, only to be disappointed when the "seaview" turned out to be more of a seahint. Sure, we were on the 3rd floor, but the view was far more ‘peekaboo’ than ‘wow,’ and the lower levels got... well, nothing. But wait, the view wasn’t even the biggest issue! The real kicker came when we checked into the place—armed with excitement for our vacation—and discovered that for a ten-day stay, we were provided half a roll of toilet paper. Half. Not a misprint, just a reflection of what we were in for. In most Airbnb spots, a tiny toilet paper shortage wouldn’t even make it onto the radar, but this was Antigua Seaview, where we learned the importance of “packing your own essentials”—and “cleaning fees” must just be a myth. After the second cleaning (which we weren’t expecting daily service, but still...), we noticed the toilet paper didn’t magically appear. We called the host, Donna, who matter-of-factly informed us that toilet paper, shampoo, soap, and basically anything you'd expect to find in a bathroom were not her responsibility. Charming, right? So we resorted to paper towels and carried on, figuring we'd just swing by the store when we could. Then came the truly “special” moment. The next day, out of nowhere, Donna called us up and started yelling at my wife for using paper towels. Picture this: a full-blown lecture, as if we were her kids who just used crayons on the walls. Despite the fact that we were adults using paper towels out of sheer necessity, Donna wasn’t about to let that slide without teaching us a “lesson.” The next day, after a beach trip, we returned to find our laptops unplugged—which we hadn't asked for and certainly didn’t expect. Confronting Donna, she blamed it on a “mistake.” Now, I’m still trying to figure out what kind of “mistake” would lead to her stepping into our room uninvited and touching our personal items. After a bit of digging, we realized she might’ve been sneaking into our room every time we were gone. Lovely. At this point, we had enough and reported the invasion of privacy to Airbnb, which thankfully rebooked us in a new place and refunded us for the stay. What really takes the cake, though, is that after we checked out, we received the first “negative” review I’ve ever gotten—from Donna. Her review simply said “unhygienic.” Yes, you read that right: unhygienic—from the person who refused to provide toilet paper. Can’t make this up. So, while this review won’t likely change anyone’s mind about booking Antigua Seaview, I felt it was too absurd to not share. If you’re a fan of “seaviews” that aren't, feeling like a kid being scolded, and rooms where personal space means nothing, this place might just be for you!

This is a lovely hotel in a quiet area. It’s a 15 min walk to a supermarket and a 30-40 min walk to the nearest beach. And St Johns is a 30 min walk away. The rooms are ideal with a lounge / kitchen, bathroom and bedroom and balcony or small patio. It’s clean and the showers are hot. The owner is very laid back and very helpful. Nothing is to much for her. I had breakfast there and it was lovely. She can organise airport transport if needed and there is parking outside if you need it too. All in all I would recommend staying here and I would happily stay here again.
