This is the second time we have stayed with Suger at Petit Anse. We love the location, the natural setting. We love the unpretentiousness of this part of St Barth. The room is lovely, if plain, but clean and with a great outdoor area where we ate our meals. Listening to the loud surf is what lulls you to sleep! No machine needed!! Fairly easy walk around the mountain to the heavenly Colombier Bay. (We are 73 and 80). What we love about St Barth is NOT the rich and famous not the designer shops. We love the nature and the locals. Driving is a bit scary, esp at night. But the scenery and the little cove are heavenly. Our first trip to St Barth was in 1983. We fell in love with Flamands then and it’s still our favorite area.

We stayed at Auberge Le Petite Anse, Unit 4 in November of 1997, celebrating our Wedding. A friend and business associate recommended the Villa's. St Barth had the reputation of being one of the most expensive islands, but this little Family owned an operated gem, $700 for the entire week, which included a car! (1997 prices)
We got to visit every beach that week, including the walk around the mountain to spectacular Columbier.. Accommodations are simple, but very clean and comfortable. It included a kitchenette and balcony with a table overlooking the ocean.
If you're looking for opulence, room, service, and people to see to you every whim, go to the hotel, Carl Gustaf, and pay 10 times the price. If you'd rather peace and quiet villa overlooking the ocean, No-frills, just the incredible beauty of Saint Barts, I highly recommend AubrrgeLe Petite Anse

We have stayed there annually. Not fancy, but just what we like. Management and staff are top notch.
