I was part of a group of 17 persons and we spent 4 days at the Hotel. The experience was a memorable one. The ocean view in the dining area was breathtaking and the ambiance was beautiful. The staff was friendly, courteous, professional and the meals were delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we had a truly delightful time. The GM Mrs Rhonda George treated us as royalty, and she did everything humanly possible to ensure that our stay was pleasant.
Highly recommended.

I can't say enough good things about my week-long stay. The staff are very responsive, warm, and friendly. Jenasia, Vincent & Shania at the Pelican Restaurant were so likeable and fun to talk with. The ladies in the office went out of their way to be helpful, and Jarvis made changing reservation dates easy. Housekeeping made sure to check with me daily for any needs. There was always someone available in the office, day and night, and property maintenance available.
The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, bright and had all of the necessary amenities. The view from the second floor was marvelous.
This hotel is similar to a Best Western, or Hampton Inn, with more to offer. They have a restaurant, pool, and a small private beach that is bigger than it appears from inside the restaurant. Sit out under the palms on the north end- there are more than enough chairs and umbrellas. There is a lounge downstairs, though it may operate separate from the hotel, and seems to operate when busses arrive with visitors. Dolphin swim is located downstairs also, and is an independent business. You get a big bang for your buck this location, and it is close to the cruise terminal/shopping and airport. The office will call for taxis and assist with excursion planning. Taxi should cost $8-$12 for ship/airport. About $15 to Frigate Bay (depending on the driver- some will squeeze you). Be sure to bring travel shampoo and other travel necessities, as not all are provided. Careful on the roads. Many are narrow, 2-lanes and people drive crazy. No need for an outlet adapter, the rooms have U.S. outlets; U.S. outlets, and U.K. roads. This is an older hotel, and is under new management. The manager is fabulous, and already making renovations. This place has so much potential.

The front desk person was so sweet and helpful! But the room is small, dark, and our AC did not work and no hot water. We did not notify them of no ac as it was late at night. They may have put us in a different room had they known. But for Americans, it was below par.

Shockingly Unprofessional — Worst Hotel in St. Kitts
My experience at Bird Rock Hotel was a complete disaster from start to finish. I have never encountered a hotel that treats guests with such open disrespect and hostility. The staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and acted as if basic customer service was beneath them.
The management was even worse. The attitude, the rudeness, and the complete lack of accountability were astounding. Instead of addressing concerns, they responded with arrogance and defensiveness. The owner’s behavior was particularly appalling — absolutely not what you expect from someone responsible for guest care.
Nothing about this place reflects professionalism, hospitality, or even basic decency. The entire environment felt uncomfortable, unsafe, and extremely unpleasant.
Save yourself the stress and stay anywhere else. Bird Rock Hotel is the most disappointing and miserable experience I’ve had with any hotel in the Caribbean.

Absolutely the Worst Hotel Experience of My Life
My experience at Bird Rock Hotel in St. Kitts was nothing short of humiliating, unprofessional, and deeply disturbing. I have stayed in countless hotels around the world, and I have never encountered such shockingly rude behavior from staff and management.
From the moment we arrived, the attitude was dismissive and hostile. Instead of basic courtesy, we were met with aggression, arrogance, and a complete lack of respect for guests. The owner, in particular, displayed behavior that was unbelievably unprofessional — the kind of behavior you would never expect from someone running a hospitality business.
The environment felt unsafe, the treatment was degrading, and not once did anyone attempt to fix or even acknowledge their unacceptable conduct. It is astonishing that a hotel operating in a tourism-based economy can treat guests this badly and believe it’s acceptable.
Avoid this hotel at all costs. There are far better places in St. Kitts where you will be treated with dignity and professionalism. Bird Rock Hotel was a disgusting disappointment and a stressful, upsetting experience I would never wish on anyone.
