I am a student at St. George’s University and I have lived at Bluestar Apartments and Hotel for 2 years now and I recommend it to everyone! The staff and security guards are so sweet and helpful, we have the best bakery downstairs (Zeppole Dolci), and the rooms are very nice. It’s a win win win. My roommate and I share a two bedroom unit and the amenities- washer/dryer, rooftop pool, gym, and study room- have been perfect for our needs. We use them all frequently and never have any issues, so I only have positive things to say about my personal experience living there. Also living between the grocery store, Rams, and the local bar, The Brewery, make the location very convenient.

Booked to stay here for a week and the first day on arrival, there was no water and the toilet wasn’t working. So we gave him the benefit of the doubt and came back to the apartment a few hours later, the was was back but very low pressure but the toilet wasn’t working. When raised the issue with the hotel, they said there nothing they can do till the next day. A whole night without toilet is unacceptable and unhygienic and for the price of 280£ per night is unacceptable. We checked out that night due to unhygienic reason and they are refusing a refund. PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL

I booked a last minute stay here and was pleasantly surprised. Great budget hotel in great location. SGU bus right outside the door. Excellent restaurant on the premises. Pool, spa and gym- and while small, they were a welcome bonus for the great price. The room was large and the kitchen and sitting area were a nice bonus. Staff was friendly and like others have said, it is nice to be able to text them questions and comments.

Blue Star is bright, happy, well-maintained and most importantly safe. I really appreciate that the management team is so kind and communicates in such a timely matter. If I’m not in class, you can find me tanning or swimming at the rooftop pool or at the gym with my roommate. I have really enjoyed my living experience so far at Blue Star and highly recommend it.

The owners are cutting too many corners and are frankly cheap. There was no bathroom window curtain. There was no blanket. There was no wash cloth. No Kleenex.
Very clean very safe nice and quiet but minimal everything. They better step it up.
