I’m giving this place a five-star review based on what it is: a campground. This is not, nor does it claim to be, a luxurious resort like what you'd find around Saint Lawrence Gap, but if you’re a backpacker or outdoor enthusiast looking for a natural tropical getaway, you’ll love it here! I stayed at the East Coast campsite while documenting a local tourist attraction, and it was perfect for my needs.
The East Coast Campsite is located in a safe, quiet residential neighborhood with stunning views of the ocean. There is a small beach nearby that’s usually unoccupied, so you can enjoy it in peace. Just be careful of the strong currents. The campsite is also conveniently located near a bus stop, making it easy to access Bridgetown.
One thing to note: on weekends, the music from a nearby pub can be pretty loud and continue late into the night. I’d recommend heading over there to meet the friendly locals (one may even offer you fishing lessons!) or checking out the nightlife elsewhere, as you probably won’t get much sleep anyway.
The campsite has a rustic shack with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities, plus spots to store your gear. The Wi-Fi is impressively fast, and if you have any questions or need anything, the owners are always just a phone call or text away. It’s a great option for anyone looking for a budget-friendly, nature-filled stay. I can't wait to go back!

Camping with Camping Barbados was amazinggg. They were very accommodating and readily helpful. The kids camped free because of Easter vacation and had loads of fun. The location is walking distance from the ocean, even though it is on the east coast, low tide reveals pools for soaking in. There is a minimart for food and drinks 5 mins walk away. Have a shower and bathroom in the cabin was very convenient. The kitchenette is useful even though we walked with our own outdoor stove for a more camping feel.
Thank you Andrea for a wonderful experience.

Camp Barbados truly captivated me – not only because of its stunning natural surroundings but also due to the incredible hosts. Their warmth and dedication make every guest feel welcome and at ease. Additionally, the locals in the area are exceptionally friendly, further enhancing the overall atmosphere.
The spaciousness of the camp allows for complete relaxation. While a similar area in my home country would accommodate around a hundred tents, during my visit, there were only five. This means that each guest has plenty of space to enjoy the tranquility of nature.
The camp provides everything needed for a comfortable stay – a kitchenette, bathroom, refrigerator, and a small cooking area. A special touch is the hammocks in the common areas, offering a perfect spot to unwind in the shade.
The beach is just a short walk away, providing a peaceful retreat by the sea. The surrounding area also offers scenic hiking trails, including one leading to Bath Beach, where lifeguards are present. The camp is nestled among palm and banana plantations – with a bit of skill, you can even pick your own coconuts or other natural treats. BTW, I was very quiet walking in the forest, I met local monkeys — extremely precious! 🐒🌳❤️ #Nature #Wildlife #Monkeys #Forest #Animals #Adventure
Looking forward to coming back.

I can’t begin to describe how beautiful our experience was at this campsite. The place is beautifully remote yet can be easily reached by bus. The camping cabin and flat field are framed by big coconut trees and high grass where we spotted fireflies in the evening. Andrea is a lovely helpful host who will go the extra mile for local recommendations, help with grocery orders incl. dietary requirements, helping guests with health issues by supporting them and checking in regularly and just making sure we felt comfortable and at home all round.
She helped us connect with other lovely locals and helped make this stay feel super peaceful ❤️
Thank you for your hard work and we hope to be back one day!
