This was a pretty quiet location, not overly crowded like other locations I've visited. We went on a Saturday and there were a couple of tours going through, but we were able to get time to ourselves while here. There are a lot of rocks and branches in the water, so use caution when exploring. We brought floats and had a fantastic time exploring this area and charco azul! We paid $5 to park our vehicle at someone's house close to the entrance...really the only option to park for this location. That gets you to cuevas arenales and charco azul. He also offered rides for $5/person to charco azul but his vehicle is a bit sketchy to take him up on that service, in my opinion

This was a GREAT activity! The warnings about the steep drive are warranted but overblown. Just pay the $5 and park up the hill. ( I think your car will be much safer here also)
It is a steep walk down/back up but it is a nice concrete roadway. The river area was relatively clean and safe. Very nice river/ creek, very cool caves!

A super super hidden and cool little gem. The drive down (or rather the drive back up) to the pool is quite steep and also very narrow. Would suggest paying to park your car at the top and then hike down. Expect a small little stream that is fairly shallow that will turn into a beautiful blue watering hole! Gets fairly deep, around 5/6 feet and to get into the caves, expect to get wet. Super cool, highly recommend, just make sure to bring proper footwear, and if you have anything with you that you don’t want to get wet, maybe take some waterproof bags as there isn’t much room to place items along the side of the pool once you’re in.

Beautiful place dont need a tour but you can park at a guy's house for 5 dollars and walk down if you dont have 4x4 drive if you go down without it you might get stuck down there its really steep and slippery. Also recommend good water shoes you are walking on rocks and they are slippery. Also if you want to float for a bit in the water bring life jacket or something. The water is freezing but so worth it. Dont go when its raining alot... trust me.

Fun! Great with a tour or by yourself. Easy hike. Great caves! Would definitely come back. Water shoes would be clutch
