I lost my husband, Dr. Donald George Blackman on 8th February, 2022. As part of ensuring his return to his homeland, Barbados, for his service, cremation and the burial of his ashes, I engaged the services of Downes and Wilson Funeral Home. If customer service had another name, It would be Downes and Wilson. They were kind, courteous, patient and accommodating. Their service was excellent and even that is an understatement on my part. I had no problems as I laid my husband to rest on March 1 2022. To Christine, Sheradan, Mr. James Wilson and the rest of the staff at Downes and Wilson, thank you for making easy work of a very difficult period for a grieving widow. I will never forgot you and all you did for me. Most assuredly, I wholeheartedly recommend Downes and Wilson Funeral Home.

I can wholeheartedly say that Downes and Wilson funeral home is the best in Barbados. I spoke with Christine who is a very professional and understanding person on how to go about with the arrangements. I had a million questions and she answered every single one. Downes and Wilson had my sister looking beautifully, as if she were asleep…not too much makeup and a fitting hairstyle to complement her. This is two weeks after the funeral and we’re still receiving call pertaining to how beautiful my sister looked. Thank you Downes and Wilson.

I would highly recommend Downes and Wilson funeral company. From start to finish the service my family and I have received was 5 star. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Christine who answered all the questions we had about my father's burial, even though we were in the UK, with patience and compassion. The family members who travelled to Barbados for the funeral were equally impressed with Christine and all the staff that were involved, both at the church and the cemetery. First class service.

I recently had the use for services for my grandmother who was more of a mother to me.
I didn’t know what funeral home to use and had to call around for information this was my first time making arrangements. A neighbor told me to NOT use this funeral home because they said it was expensive. I had other family and friends who told me to call anyway and check for myself. I spoke with Christine who was very professional and made me feel comfortable during the call. I was never pressured into spending more money than our budget. We used their services and my family was exceptionally pleased with everything. My grandmother looked beautiful, the staff was accommodating and professional. They helped us during a difficult time. I highly recommend Downes and Wilson.

I can only say that during my tragic loss which was so unexpected, Downes and Wilson were the most professional and understanding company I could have dealt with.
All their staff were considerate, extremely smart, and I know my husband would have been so pleased with the send off they gave him.
