I would not recommend DWJ VIP Transport based on my experience. I booked our transportation several months in advance and reached out about a week before our trip just to confirm everything was in order. I never received a response. Upon arrival at the airport, there was a small sign with multiple names on it, making it easy to miss if you weren’t looking carefully. After checking in, we waited about 15 minutes for our driver to arrive. Once he arrived, however, Estaneal was excellent—friendly, professional, and he provided a smooth ride to the resort. He was the highlight of our experience with the company. Unfortunately, the return transfer was much worse. We never received a pickup confirmation, so I emailed the company. They eventually provided a pickup time that would have gotten us to the airport right around boarding time for our flight. We immediately requested an earlier pickup but received no response. We ultimately had to call to get the pickup time changed ourselves. On departure day, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. Unlike every other transportation company at the resort, our driver never came into the lobby to meet us. Instead, he stood outside holding a small sign with our name. We only realized he was our driver after spotting the truck ourselves. What made it even more uncomfortable was that he wasn’t wearing any type of company uniform or badge identifying him as a DWJ driver—just a dark biker-style jacket and dark sunglasses—so there was nothing that immediately reassured us we had found the right person. He never introduced himself, greeted us, opened the vehicle door, or indicated that we could get in. Instead, he stood outside the truck texting while the resort bellman stepped in to help us with our luggage. The driver never assisted with our bags, never offered water, and didn’t say a single word during the entire drive to the airport. The vehicle also did not have Wi-Fi, despite being advertised as a VIP service. While I truly appreciated Estaneal’s professionalism on our arrival transfer, one great driver wasn’t enough to overcome the company’s poor communication, lack of coordination, and disappointing return service. There are simply too many reliable transportation options available to choose one that delivers such an inconsistent experience.

I had a great experience with DWJ. The drivers arrived right on time, the cars were very clean, and they provided a car seat as requested, which made traveling with a child much easier. After using several other private transportation providers in the Dominican Republic, this was by far the safest and most professional experience I’ve had. Both drivers were courteous, drove carefully, and neither of them were on their phones while driving, which I really appreciated. It made the entire trip feel smooth, comfortable, and very safe. Also I appreciated that payment was simple and straightforward — it’s due upon arrival and departure, which made the process easy and transparent. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone looking for reliable and safe private transportation. I will use them again whenever back in DR.

My husband and I booked with DWJ (aka Mike Fisher) for our honeymoon at Zemi Miches! The ride was 1.5 hours and Carlos did a fantastic job of getting us there! He provided commentary during the ride and made us feel so welcomed. Great way to kick off vacation!

Carlos Santana provided amazing transport back to the airport in Punta Cana following our first trip to La Romana. He greeted us very warmly upon his arrival to pick us up at our resort. The van was exceptionally clean and smelled really nice, but not perfumey. He offered to allow us to select the style of music we preferred, if any, for the hour-long commute to the airport. He was prompt, kind, safe, and accommodating. I highly recommend Mike Fisher Transport, but I particularly recommend Carlos as a driver. Request him! You will not be disappointed!!

Carlos Santana was our driver getting back to the airport. Super friendly, and I don't think I've been in a cleaner van for an airport transfer.
