omg this place is so good. our waiter didnt speak too much English but that wasnt a problem. food was INCREDIBLE and so were the drinks. great vibe and beautiful bad bunny mural on the inside. this place is just awesome. however. do NOT get any dessert. other than that, this was one of the best places on our trip. got the mahi mahi with side of sweet potato fries, however i HIGHLY recommend the tostones.

I’ve gone to El Yate many times, and every time has been great. The wait time might be a bit longer than you are used to if you are visiting, but please be patient - it’s normal and your food will come. The spot is right next to the ferry and has a view of the water, and also offers some outdoor seating. It’s usually active throughout the day. I highly recommend their pastelillos, which are ordered among my group almost every visit!

Stepping into El Yate felt instantly friendly and welcoming—the staff treated us like family! But the real surprise was the Mofongo! Seriously, you wouldn't expect such perfectly seasoned, delicious mofongo at a casual beachside spot, but it was absolutely killer. The whole meal was a fantastic value, with the prices being incredibly reasonable. Add in the fact that the drinks and beers are super cheap, and you've found the ultimate hidden gem for a delicious and budget-friendly island feast. Don't skip the mofongo! (which sadly I forgot to take pictures of), the beans are also to die for!

The food is good. Nothing too fancy. The beef empanadas are SO GOOD! The drinks and the service is what made us come back more than once. Annette is amazing at her job, funny, and personable. I’d highly suggest stopping by, plus it’s near the ferry.
