Excellent Service & The Perfect Way to Explore Barbados.
I recently rented a car from First Gear Car Rentals for a 3-day stay in Barbados, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I made contact, Nick was professional, friendly, and very easy to deal with.
My family (wife, son, and daughter) and I wanted the freedom to explore the entire island at our own pace and this rental made that possible. The car was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and ran perfectly the whole time. We drove from coast to coast with zero issues and always felt safe and confident on the road.
What really stood out was the excellent communication. Nick kept everything simple and stress-free, pickup, drop-off, and all questions in between. It’s clear he takes pride in offering a reliable, customer-focused service.

Truly delighted. My dealings with First Gear Car Hire was impressive. Nicks communication was excellent. The rental price very competitive and I was thrilled with the car. A joy to drive.
It was delivered to my property promptly & I returned the car to the airport where Nick collected it. So straightforward.
I highly recommend this car hire and will certainly use them again on my next visit to Barbados.

Absolutely great experience. I was looking for a car at the last minute and found a combination of great price and excellent service with First Gear Car Rental. Communication was fast and we agreed on everything we needed. Picking up and returning the car at the airport was without delay. It was also possible to pay online by card, which suited me because I didn't have that much cash on hand. Overall satisfaction, I definitely recommend it.
