I had a really lovely experience at the Barbados Flower Forest. The nature was absolutely beautiful—walking through the winding paths surrounded by vibrant, well-maintained flora was easily my favorite part. If you enjoy being in nature or need a peaceful reset, this is definitely the place. The birds were surprisingly friendly too, which added such a sweet touch to the walk.
My only qualm (and the reason it’s not a full 5/5) is that it seemed a bit understaffed during my visit. There were quite a few visitors, and the team working that day seemed to be struggling to keep up. Still, everyone was kind and doing their best.
I also stopped for food and really enjoyed it. The samosas and fish sandwich were delicious and worth the wait.
Overall, it’s a gorgeous spot—great for relaxing, exploring, and even imagining events like weddings because of how picturesque it is. Highly recommend for nature lovers!

This is a fabulous tropical, botanical garden. Takes at least 1-1½ hours (or as long as you want tbh) to take in everything. And there's loads to see. Different things will be in flower at different times of year but seeing these plants in their natural environment was a real privilege. Many of the plants I'd never be able to see in the cold & frozen north. Paths are disabled-friendly but I'd add 'with assistance'. Staff we encountered were all friendly. Customer toilets were clean & modern. Food is available. We didn't eat there but the staff suggested if we wanted lunch, to order it before going into the gardens and the catering staff would have it ready by the time we had finished...which seemed like a very sensible suggestion as it was Boxing Day so probably not many staff on duty! There's a nice eating area. I really enjoyed the visit and would definitely go back if I visited the island again.

Great activity to do while in Barbados. Cultivated style natural garden in a lush rainforest style setting.
Full of many flower and plant species.
We were almost the only people there. Not crowded at all.
Note: Like all outdoor Forest attractions in Barbados, the walkways could be slippery.

We had such a lovely time at the Flower Forest Garden. Our walk through the forest was peaceful and refreshing, and our toddler absolutely loved exploring the unusual environment—especially spotting the millipedes!
The entire place felt calm and quiet, with plenty of benches where you can sit, take in the views, and enjoy the tranquility. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the paths were easy to navigate with a pushchair, which made the visit even more enjoyable for our family.
The toilets were spotless, and we really appreciated getting to see the unique flora and fauna along the way. The shaded walk was perfect for keeping cool while still enjoying nature.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend the Flower Forest Gardens to others looking for a peaceful and family-friendly outdoor experience.

This is a must for botanical lovers. Such a quiet and peaceful place to see the natural beauty of Barbados. There is a wealth of history in this place. Seeing informative plaques detailing the origins of the multitude of plants native and brought to the island through its history of trade and those that have come to visit that decided to stay.
