Over rated, tourist trap, be prepared to be ripped off , especially in DX bar, very poor street food in same bar. Others waited 2 hours queuing for dukes fish street food

It was less crowded when I visited, but definitely not worth the party hype it has.

I cannot believe this is only 4.5. This place is a 10 out of 5. It’s extremely safe. Grilled everything. Best island food ever. The moonshine Rum options were like part Deep South US but with a chill island vibe. The music is pumping at 11. The vibe with the Lucian’s is so pleasant. Thank you for being so welcoming! I absolutely love YOU and your culture! I’m coming back someday and will spend more time with you amazing people.

Definitely a must do while in St. Lucia. The mix of tourists and locals of all ages was thrilling; the DJs vibes even better. Come early to get some great fresh grilled goods before the masses cause the lines to be unbearable and before the good stuff runs out.

If you want to see the true St. Lucian culture then the party is a must visit! The street party happens every single Friday except Good Friday and it starts from after work to about 3 am. Although people start coming after work, it gets busier around 8-9 pm. It's on one main street in Gros Islet and it's just a vibe. There's a DJ and people dancing in one main area. Surrounding that are tents/bars to buy drinks, souveneirs, and local food as well. We are not big party people but were so glad we checked it out because it gives a look into the local life and culture. I wouldn't recommend it for people who don't like big crowds and loud music. Or for anyone uncomfortable with alcohol and smoking. We went end of September so it wasn't as packed. There were a lot more locals than tourists and we were able to walk in and out of the crowds fairly easily. We also found parking just a couple mins away but there are other ways to get there. Either by bus or some hotels offer rides to and from the party.
