I’ve come several times to Ganesh and it’s been evolving a lot. Now it’s beautifully managed by amazing women and the intention and vibe is living in community. It feels like home, I feel very welcomed and the place is going to evolve still. All the infrastructure is made of wood which I like and feel peaceful. It is beautifully decorated with designs and altars. Local Cacao is always present. The dorms are nice and private rooms are a must ! You can always take a dip in the pool as well. WiFi is available on certain points of the hostal which make the vibe more communautary as internet sometimes cuts true connection with people. Go and check it ! Elle Valle is a place where you will find a beautiful community and find yourself.

Ganesh Hostel is just AMAZING! For sure one of the best hostels (if not the best) in the Dominican Republic. The architecture is great, the shared rooms are for two people only, there is an awesome swimming pool and a kitchen we can use, at least four toilets and four bathrooms (so nobody is fighting to use them). The location is just five minutes away from the beach. Either you are looking for a party (once in a while Ganesh has very good ones) or just to disconnect, this is the place. Mostly, though, is the nature that speaks louder. To wake up with the views that El Valle provide us is just breathtaking. You can also do yoga in a place near to the hostel. I loved my time there and all the people I met along the way. The volunteers and staff are amazing! The trips to the waterfall, excursions to beaches like Ermitaño and the bonfires we would made to watch the stars, unforgettable. If you are thinking of coming, just do it. You will meet nice people and take some awesome photos!

The location was great if you’re into camp. If you’re looking for amenities that you would get it a local hotel, including hot water, privacy, In the bathroom of your own, this is not the place for you. This is strictly off the grid no cell phone communication, no paved road, you were in the complete jungle. The beach is amazing and beautiful, but there is no civilization within 10 miles. Come prepared.

It's a very nice, beautifully located place. We stayed in a bungalow. The bed was comfortable. Surprisingly - almost zero mosquitos. I would give a 5 stars but it's a bit overpriced taking into consideration that the room/bungalow is already in a 'tired' condition.

The place is pretty and the idea that they are trying to develop is great. HOWEVER, it has not been well executed whatsoever.
The customer service is really bad, the place needs way better management.
The important details is what they are missing entirely. The beds are very uncomfortable, the mosquito nets have holes (which is very important since the sheds are open to the outdoors), the water pressure is almost non-existent, no hot water, the bathroom floods when you shower, etc.. This place would be great if they put more attention to the fundamental details instead of focusing on the looks and the “vibe”.
They did not even give us pillows for our stay, eventhough we reminded them twice.... !!!
