This is a great day out, really enjoyed feeding the varied colourful birds There is so much to explore, the boat trip is short but worthwhile as you see plenty of wildlife and we also got to hold a couple of beautiful albino ball pythons. Really good to see it reopened after a very well done extensive upgrade, taking disability access into account. Highly recommended, go early before it gets too hot but the little cafe does a lovely refreshing iced coffee. Superb.

We had such a wonderful experience at Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary! From the moment we arrived, it was clear how well cared for the entire sanctuary is. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the scenery is absolutely stunning—everywhere you look feels peaceful and picture-perfect.
One of the highlights for us was how interactive the birds were. It made the visit feel really special and engaging, especially being able to observe them up close in such a natural environment. You can tell the sanctuary truly prioritizes both conservation and visitor experience.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, scenic outing surrounded by nature and wildlife, this place is definitely worth a visit. We had a great time and would happily go back again!

I have been the Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary once many years ago, but they closed for quite a while; now they are opened again and absolutely stunning.
The entire place is just beautiful and peaceful. There were some schools there while we were there and the teachers etc. kept their large groups pretty quiet.
The short walk through is easy and with lovely sights. It's fun to get some fish food and feed the Tarpon in the "lake". It's even more fun to get some bird food and feed the birds in the aviary. Get both fish and bird food from the ticket hut.
The aviary can be a whole lot of fun with the bird food. Some of the stunning Macaws might fly your way, but we found a couple hanging out on a post within reach and they were all too happy to munch on the food we had. There are quite a few smaller birds that flew onto us to get the food. But they are only interested in the food, without it they keep their distance. They are still gorgeous to see though, even if they aren't coming to you.
It was a great hour and a half or so for us, and we missed out on some of the other things to see/do.
It's an easy to get to and access sight on the south coast. I wouldn't call it a must see, but if you have the extra time and/or just want to have a peaceful nature experience, this is a great option.

It is a bit small, but worth the price. It has some great animals to see and interact with! We had a great time in the aviaries! Definitely recommend buying some bird seed when purchasing your ticket.

At first I thought it was a bit pricey but this was genuinely one of the top nature experiences I’ve ever had!
The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The enormous fish were awesome to watch feeding. The snakes and iguanas were also very cool.
The highlight for me was the parrots. I could spend the rest of my life in those massive aviaries feeding the parrots and watching them all interact with each other and the human feeding trays.
The African grey parrots were very good at imitating phone sounds!
Cafe was also great but the star of the show had to be Garry the Goose. Legendary bird!
