This was by far the best tour of our trip to St. Lucia! The views were amazing and our guide Sylva knew everything there was about all the local vegetation, wildlife, and island history. He was extremely hospitable, friendly, personable, and the passion he has for the island and nature is clear - He really made the experience top notch. We got to see and experience so much during our time at his property and if you want great views, birdwatching, and great company this is a must do during your visit!
As a side note, the road up to the estate is a little bumpy but no problem if you go slow and take your time. I’d recommend giving yourself ~10 extra minutes beyond your maps recommendation and calling when you arrive - It is well worth the drive!!

The Grand Eden Estate tour with Sylvanus may have been our top highlight of our trip to St. Lucia! We stayed at a Soufriere AirBnB called Topaz Apartments, and Alicia there lined us up with this tour. We had no knowledge at all of this tour, nor did we expect such an amazing experience. We saw and ate so many local fruits, flowers, and plants. And the birds, wow!! We saw so many endemic species. Sylvanus was knowledgeable about EVERYTHING! Seriously the kindest tour guide we could have ever imagined. He even taught us the creole saying “tout bagay byen” meaning ‘Everything is good’ and it sure was! We want to return for his camping and hiking excursions next time we visit the island! I honestly don’t know how to book this as our AirBnB did all that work for us, but I will also plug the Topaz Apartment Villas, they will cultivate the best local experience for you!!

A tremendous experience, well worth the rugged drive (4wd highly recommended). Sylvanus clearly has a passion for his farm and the natural world. We were there about 2.5 hrs, sampled sugar cane, edible begonia, grapefruit, coconut, papaya, etc. Be sure and make a reservation. Our concierge Bradley (Bradley Taxi Saint Lucia) has been incredibly helpful.

Sylvanous is very passionate about his land. Showed us all the trees, bushes. We eat grapefruit wild strawberries fresh coconut of the trees. Showed us the birds. Well worth the visit but use a taxi or SUV. Very rocky road. Mike and Andrea. March 26.

The drive up is legendary, but the destination is even better. 🌿 Eden Estate sits on one of the highest points of the island, offering a masterclass in local nature. Silvo really knows his stuff, whether it’s the farm, the wildlife, or the incredible tropical foliage, he brings the whole place to life. 10/10 would recommend for the views alone!
