Stayed here the first 2 or 3 nights. Very good location. Breakfast was included. The owner was very helpful. Rooms were nice, clean, spacious. Good low budget option for a few nights.

Room was clean and comfortable, very affordable, home from home ambience, very good location near to bus route to Bridgetown and Oistens and local night life in The Gap, the employees were very approachable and nothing was too much, planning next trip with friends soon

My experience at this B & B was no doubt unique, but I wish to share it because it far surpassed my expectations. At the end of our two-week vacation, my husband required hospitalization, which was a very stressful experience for both of us. I needed a place to stay that was quiet, comfortable and clean. When I saw Harlem B&B on the Expedia website, and noticed the favorable reviews, I decided to give it a try. It was exactly what I needed. My room was comfortable, clean, and decorated with fresh, sunny yellow walls that lifted my spirits. The staff were amazing. Latoya and Charlene were caring and kind. They sympathized with my situation and were there when I returned from my daily hospital visits. It almost felt as though they were family by the time I left. Scott, the owner, bent over backward to be accommodating. He also expressed empathy for my situation. The B&B sits virtually across the street from the Southern Palms Beach resort, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the beach and waves if you have a meal at their restaurant. My husband and I will stay here again the next time we visit this part of Barbados. It is also likely that my daughter and her boyfriend will do the same, when they visit Dover Beach. Thank you, Scott, Latoya, and Charlene for your incredible welcome and for all of your help and concern when I needed it.

If you are looking for something cheap and close to everything this is the place. Staff are kind and polite. The room are cool and the location next to everything is pretty cool!

I've just returned from a week in Barbados, and my stay at the Harlem B&B was absolutely perfect. I had a large room with two double beds, and it was equipped with excellent air conditioning and a lovely large bathroom and shower. The room was spotlessly clean. It was a wonderful base for my week, and the location is brilliant. You're in a quiet local suburb, but within a few minutes walk to all the bars and restaurants on The Gap and Dover Beach. You're also very close to the main road that runs between Oistins and Bridgetown, and the reggae buses and government run buses are very easy to get to when you want to move around the island. The staff in Harlem are fantastic too. One lady took me up to main road and showed me how to use the reggae buses - it was so nice of her and meant I felt really confident using this unique transport option. The only issue I had was that there are a huge number of smoke alarms in the property, and on my first night the one outside my room was pinging constantly to say it had a low battery. I asked if this could be sorted, but it never happened - I eventually went and pulled the battery out myself as it was driving me mad! But then another one started pinging (not close enough to my room to be annoying) and carried on pinging throughout the stay. The staff said they've asked the manager to sort them out, but he never does. Just a very very minor niggle though in what is an absolutely fantastic and friendly B&B - thank you to everyone for making my stay so enjoyable!
