Our final port on my cruise at this lovely place to receive an eye full of colors and wares and items to purchase from high end prices to low souvenirs. Always multiple shops of things I consider stuff so I can just admire the effort taken to get all these shops in the area. Nice to walk around and take it all in, I did walk into an expensive shop with lovely bathing suits and beach ware. I felt the staff were lovely friendly people not pushy to oversell you merchandise in any way. I ended up purchasing some things and was glad about my purchase.

Plenty of colorful shops to grab souvenirs. The area is relatively safe, and you can easily catch a taxi to the nearby beaches walking around the pier. The locals can spot a tourist a mile away, so be prepared to deal with some pushy drivers & people selling items. Small casino. Live music.

Decent cruise port. Three ships while we were here. VERY busy!!
Casino, bars, restaurants, jewelry shops, souvenir shops. Travel a little further in and visit some of the small local vendors shops.

Very short walk on a long pier and you are rewarded with being in the thick of St Johns, shops, very colourful, bars and restaurants, and of course tour boats of many sizes. It's really easy to wander ashore and amble through the colourful streets, loads of photos, plenty of seats and incredibly lots of free WiFi.
We only wanted a short end of day stroll which we really enjoyed but had we known how close the tour boats are we would have spent the day ashore and hopped on a ferry or tour. They are very similar in price to the ship excursions but you are supporting local operators which might be important to you and there are more variety on offer. Worth checking Google or Trip Advisor for guidance as it's a really interesting island if you the time to plan...
You can rent ebikes, snorkeling gear etc ashore if you couldn't bring your own.

The shop owners and sellers are so incredibly friendly and helpful. They're not overly aggressive and we didn't feel pressured.
However, after you see one shop, you've seen them all and there was less variety than in other ports. Certainly not a criticism, just a fact that kept us from doing much shopping
