Took a ferry from here to St. Lucia (with a stopover in Martinique) - a great trip with a cool breeze.

At check-in for my journey from Guadeloupe to Dominica, my travel voucher from my travel agency was accepted in exchange for the ferry ticket. However, at check-in for the return journey at Roseau port, I was surprised to be asked to show my ticket of the first journey again. I had not kept this ticket. I therefore had to buy the return ticket to Guadeloupe again for 92 Euros! I feel ripped off. Credit cards are not accepted, only cash. I would like the documents to include a note that the first ticket must be kept until the return journey. The ferry ride itself was ok, but quite bumpy.

Even a 5 year old person can manage this terminal better! Completely disorganized. We decided to take the ferry to go to st Lucia instead of flying to save time. Instead we ended up wasting 6-7 hours to reach st. Lucia.

Ferry was ok, the small outside area was nice because you can see dolphins.
When leaving, make sure to have enough cash for the departure tax.
Also, had a bad experience with a taxi driver named Jerry… Avoid when you can.

This crew is incredible! In less than 24 hours, they caught up to all regular schedules and stranded passengers across 5 islands more than 300 miles apart. Kudos to the Dominica team on August 14th for such an incredible accomplishment!!
