I have been going to the Lounge for BdR Champagne and Rothschild wine for years. The vibe is always chill, huge couches and great music in 17 deg (Celsius) AC year ro Nd on St. Barth. Elegant and relaxed, no “party party” nonsense. The proprietors, Philippe and Sylvie are attentive, kind, VERY knowledgeable on all the wines and champagnes from the Rothschild family.
So, with them adding a restaurant, I had high expectations…and they did not disappoint!
The ambiance was relaxed, the table formal and elegant, and service impeccable. See my photos of the food! The onion soup to start was robust with texture and flavor and aroma. Amazing preparation of tenderloin, Mac-n-cheese side with premier cheeses, (obviously the wine pairings were top notch with reds from Mouton 2015, Opus One, Clerc Milon, and rare Rosé champagne all to try!). The foie gras is made in house and melts away in your mouth and the custard style dessert disappearing in a flash as it was so delicious.
Price is VERY reasonable - especially for St. Barth.

The Lounge Baron de Rothschild is not only a highlight of St Barths, it is the heart of St Barths. Upon entering, upscale decor and ambience greets you. Make yourself comfortable and enjoy lunch or dinner while trying any of the fine wines or champagnes. Staffed by the friendliest and most welcoming people! Put this on your calendar- I guarantee you will thank me! Reserve for lunch or dinner, or just walk in and try for a glass or two of your choosing! Simply superb!

Beautiful place to come for champagne and cavier. Phillip took great care of us on a Sunday evening when everything was closed.
