Mama Tilly’s had a spot on my heart ❤️ she was sweet and very nice she gave us a meal for free because we were waiting for so long but she was busy and we understood. We got a rum punch that was good & strong. I can’t wait to come back .

All five stars - with the understanding that you are on island time (nothing happens fast) and that there is no menu. You get what mama makes and you say please and thank you.
Mama Tilly is a local lady who serves up fine West Indian cuisine. We had a party of 5, and had Marlin and grilled chicken quarters. We had all wanted Marlin but all she had was 3 pieces left from that days catch that was cleaned...so chicken it was. Cooked on the BBQ and served seasoned to perfection we all enjoyed both the chicken and the fish. It was served with numerous sides including a garden salad, green fig salad, noodles, rice, plantains, and a mix of steamed Christophine and Carrots.
3 of us had juice (grapefruit, sour orange and passion fruit (pictured), and we had 1 rum punch and 1 beer. The total for our dinner was about $60 USD (including alcohol). You will never find a better bargain!
Be ready for an experience!

If I could give this place 6 stars I would! Mama is a legend, her food is delicious, but the experience of eating here is what you really need to come for. She works tirelessly every day serving the community extremely fresh and affordable food. Don’t expect a “menu” or posh cocktails…. The rum punch is strong and she tells you what she has available on the day, bbq chicken, grilled fish, lamb chops, pork rib and if you’re lucky, lobster. All the salads and sides are homemade and change daily. It’s like you are sat in Mama’s house having dinner with her family. We went back every day we were here and chatted to lots of friendly locals and visitors alike. Thank you Mama.

An excellent restaurant with a truly unique atmosphere! The food is delicious and clearly made with heart – you can taste it in every dish. We visited almost every day during our stay, and each time everything was fresh, flavorful, and consistently high quality. The prices are also very reasonable. It’s the perfect place for anyone who loves local vibes and an authentic atmosphere. Highly recommended – a place you’ll definitely want to come back to!

Mama Tilly's Barbecue & Grill is the kind of place that reminds you why local spots matter.
This was such a warm, authentic local experience. Mama Tilly herself does it all. From greeting you when you arrive, to taking your order by simply telling you what she has available that day or night, to cooking the food, serving it, and checking in on you throughout the meal. There’s no rush, no pretense, just genuine hospitality and pride in what she does.
And the food—absolutely delicious. Comforting, flavorful, and clearly made with care and experience. This is the kind of meal that sticks with you, not because it’s fancy, but because it’s real.
Mama Tilly is amazing. This place is amazing. And if you are anywhere near Laborie, you owe it to yourself to make the trip and visit her at least once. You won’t be disappointed.
