I had a Bimalleolar Fracture in my ankle in April 2024 after a fall and it was the most scariest and painful time of my life. Dr. Adams was recommended by my cousin after a visit yo Urgent Care and when I called him, he was about to leave clinic but asked me to send him the X-ray and asked if I could come and see him. I did go and upon entering his Clinic was welcomed by Zakodia's sweet smile and greetings. She is such an asset to his clinic. She came with the wheel chair and assisted my husband with getting me into the office without bumping my foot. This made me feel very at ease. Dr. Adams' smile and greeting matched Zakodia and after the consultation with him, something he said to me made me smile. "Yes, we can fix this, we will try and put it back the way the good Lord made it" I had ORIF surgery, the following Tuesday. The Wednesday I was in soo much pain, I cried the entire day, thinking to myself that it was normal. Zakodia called to check on me and I told her. She did a home visit after she spoke to Dr Adams and in her visitation, we realized that the cast was too tight. (The swelling increased after surgery and made the cast too tight) Dr. Adams told Zakodia to take it off but I was nervous not having something to keep my foot in place and so we did an alteration to the cast until the next day. Dr. Adams was leaving the island for a few days the Thursday and asked me to come to the office first thing that morning. He came in and cut the cast off and put a very comfortable one on and then said have a nice day. (He came only to sort the cast out and left) Zakodia kept checking up on me every few days. When it was time for the cast to come off and to walk again on my right foot, they found a Physiotherapy close to where I lived for me. Dr. Adams was following up with the therapist on my progress and at what stages I should be at. I have not had any major issues with the recovery or surgery thank God. (Pain/aching here and there) My bones are fully healed and I am grateful. Today's visit was to have a suture removed and my favorite Doctor's assistant was there and offered to hold my hand and I did not refuse 😃😃 A broken bone or any injury/ordeal is mentally and physically draining and the wrong care or even conversation can be a huge turn off. I called two orthopedic surgeons before Dr Adams. I encourage Dr. Adams and team to continue to let your Clinic be that safe place for persons. Bedside manner and professionalism are key. Blessings 🙏

In July 2024 I fell and fractured my arm and was referred to Dr Adams for surgery. Dr Adams and his staff were friendly, assuring and this has made the journey towards recovery much easier for me as I went through the different surgical procedures with the requisite follow up visits. I would highly recommend Optimum Orthopedics
