I took the ferry from Carriacou to Grenada.. Two words! Sooth Sailing. I'm someone who gets motion sickness very easily. However, I was determined to have the experience of visiting Carriacou, so I chewed on one of those motion sickness tablets an hour before sailing. I'm not sure if that was the reason why I I didn't experience one bit of discomfort, but that trip was amazing. I stood on the top deck for the whole two hours. What I love about the experience was me being able to identify every key area along the Western coast of Grenada. I saw many flying fish in the water too. Amazing 👏

The ride is fine but bumpy. We took Dramamine and one of my kids still got sick. Don't count on it leaving on time and they came back for us 2 hours later than it stated on our ticket. But it wasn't crowded. There was even enough room to lay down across the seats and the view is amazing if you venture outside.

Ride to Carriacou can be rough. Get your sick bag ready if you have a weak stomach. Ride back to Grenada is smooth. Quick service. Arrived in 2 hours

Ferry takes about 2 hours give or take. 80 xcd which is $30 us dollars. That is for each way. You can purchase tickets when you get there. They loaded my suitcase for me. Inside is air conditioned or you can sit outside. They do have a small bar. Arrive early. If you sit up top, there is no cover from the sun or rain just an FYI. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I've read reviews were people got sea sick but found the ride there and back relatively smooth but do expect for the worse for the rough days at sea which is beyond everyone's control.

Very bumpy ride between grenada to carriacou. Thankfully they hand out vomit bags. I have never been that sick on a boat before and I was wearing 2 motion sickness patches and a gravol. Felt like we were navigating through a storm. They had AC but I felt very hot like the AC as not cold enough. The boat docks in tyrrel bay and not Hillsborough. Sit in the back if you can and say a pray 🙏. The boat has 2 levels. The upstairs is not covered. The down stair can be enclosed. The window are dirty so you can barely see outside. They will call people inside before they reach the very choppy sections. There is a TV but it only shows ads etc. Snacks and drink in the back of the boat. Toilet in the back of the boat. They only take cash $80 EC per person, per one way. Round trip is $160. Come early to buy ticket at 8am. Parking on the carenage for free but make sure that you don't park in the no parking sections. Return boat ride was way calmer. Did not get sick this time. About 2 hours each way. Day trip you will only get about 3 hrs in carriacou before the boat leaves for grenada. There are regular bus for 3.50 ec rather than taking the taxis at the port. Seating was comfortable enough. Some sections had tables.
