My hotel liaised with Melissa at Paradise Surf School to organise a surf lesson on Pebbles Beach (a short walk from my hotel). The 1 on 1 lesson was 2 hours with a professional surfer who competes in internally competitions, so I was in good hands.
The long, sandy beach was perfect for beginners - small but powerful waves for a really long ride once you're up!
Thoroughly enjoyable and surfing in Barbados is definitely a bucket list activity!

Had an awesome time surfing with Bruce and Noah! So good we had to go twice! The waves were awesome and we even saw a few giant turtles! Would highly recommend for all surf levels. We had one to one tuition and were catching our own waves by the end of the session. The package included surf videos and a beer to celebrate after! Will definitely be coming back!

Loved my first time surfing with Bruce! What a lovely morning with Bruce and all the turtles hanging out with us :). He was so patient, kind, and encouraging. I was surfing decently by the end of the lesson and felt really empowered by his teaching style. Another instructor from a different company with a group showed up nearby halfway through and the teacher was aggressive...made me appreciate Bruce even more. Cool that he is from the island and obviously an incredible surfer who travels the world for the best waves. Can't wait to go back!

I went for a lesson and had a blast. Bruce was encouraging and created a great surfing experience my progress on the board was fast he
helped me to improve my skills continuously. I totally recommend his lessons and can’t wait to come back. Bruce is the best!🤙🏻

Bruce is not only known as one of the best surfers on the island, but also as some one who is truly passionate about the sport. His can do attitude and friendly personality combine to make him a great instructor. Try them out ! You’ll have a blast.
