By far one of our favourite beaches in Barbados! Paynes Beach has absolutely beautiful, calm, crystal-clear water and a laid-back, chilled atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to spend the entire day. The beach is gorgeous, the water is ideal for swimming, and the whole area has such a peaceful Caribbean vibe. It’s the kind of place where you can swim, relax in the sun, and completely lose track of time. If you’re looking for beautiful turquoise water, soft sand, and a relaxing beach day in Barbados, Paynes Beach is a must. We absolutely loved it and would come back in a heartbeat!

This is a fantastic beach for relaxing and snorkeling! Highly recommend renting your loungers and umbrella from Jerry (in bright orange shirt) on the northern end of the beach just to the left once you set foot on the beach. Further south on the beach is the very casual Gazebo restaurant for food, drinks, snacks. Paying it forward regarding logistics as another reviewer was super helpful in my finding the beach. The important location anchor is the large One Sandy Lane villa (*not* the Sandy Lane Hotel). Parking - if you're driving your own vehicle there are two parking options: 1) Across the street and just north of One Sandy Lane is a bus stop. You will see several cars parked on the sidewalk area just north of the bus stop. Parked here for 2 days and no problems. 2) Directly across from One Sandy Lane (south of the bus stop) is a small dirt lot that has space for about 10 cars. Can also park here if there is room. Beach Access - immediately SOUTH of One Sandy Lane is a wide natural access path to the northern end of the beach. Do *not* use the path on the north side of the villa as the waves will then make it challenging to walk on the beach in front of One Sandy Lane.

Very nice and calm beach. There is some natural shade on both the left and right sides. The sea is calm with almost no waves, perfect for swimming and relaxing. Many catamarans stop here, and you can often see turtles. Here you can rent umbrellas and very comfortable couchened chairs. Same rental includes access to a toilet and Wi-Fi, which is very convenient. We rented 2 umbrellas and 3 lounge chairs for USD 30 on completely right side of the beach. The staff are very honest and kind. My wife accidentally paid USD 50, and while we were swimming, the gentleman came back to return USD 20 and explained the mistake. His name is Kio—very professional and trustworthy. Access to the beach is easy, with a clear passage between buildings, and it’s easy to find using Google Maps. Highly recommended.

The place itself is good, But there is no Restaurants or any drinking facilities or washrooms on the beach, There are a lot of catamarans come here for snorkeling, Even though there's nothing to see on the bottom, just the yellow sand everywhere, There are some small fishes, nothing special. But it is a quiet place to spend an afternoon. Just be careful, it is located almost 10 kilómetros from the port, and if you come on the taxi then make sure you have a ride back.

Beautiful hidden gem, park opposite the road and access beach via alley. There's a nice gentleman that you can rent umbrella and lounge chairs from. Sells cold beer as well. Best beach in Barbados. Calm waters.
