Peat bay or Harrismith bay is a very picturesque location - perfect for photographers. The beach is nestled between cliff walls and it lends to both a private stay on the beach but also an eery/risky stay if you're alone.
With a group, it's perfect for picnicking as is evident on bank holidays when locals and visitors alike flock to the bay.
It is a deposit area for sargassum seaweed so if that's floating on the waters you may want to retake visiting.
