RiteWay in Virgin Gorda is an absolute lifesaver — easily the best grocery store on the island and one of the nicest I’ve seen anywhere in the Caribbean. Whether you’re staying on a yacht, renting a villa, or just visiting for a few days, this is the spot to stock up. It’s clean, organized, air-conditioned, and so much more complete than you’d expect for a small island market.
The selection is fantastic — everything from local produce and Caribbean spices to imported cheeses, wines, and snacks you thought you’d have to live without while abroad. The bakery section smells amazing (the fresh bread and pastries go fast!), the produce is crisp and clearly fresh, and the meat and seafood counters are spotless. I even found great plant-based items and cold brew coffee — things you don’t always find on remote islands.
Prices are fair for island life, and the staff make the experience even better. Everyone we met was friendly, helpful, and full of good energy. When we couldn’t find coconut water, an employee walked us right to it with a smile and even recommended a local brand that ended up being great. The checkout lines moved quickly, and everything felt calm and well-run even when the store was busy.
The convenience is unbeatable — it’s close to Spanish Town, easy parking, and perfect for grabbing last-minute picnic supplies before heading to The Baths or provisioning your villa for the week. There’s even a nice little selection of wines, mixers, and beach snacks if you’re just stopping in before sunset.
It’s one of those places that instantly puts you at ease — everything you need, friendly faces, cold AC, and a little slice of normal comfort in the middle of paradise.
Five stars all the way. RiteWay is the heartbeat of Virgin Gorda life — efficient, reliable, and run with real pride. Whether you’re here for a day or a month, you’ll end up stopping by more than once!

There is a good selection of anything you may need while visiting the island. Not much fresh meat and prices are more expensive than in other countries, but it gets the job done.

There is a lot of stuff packed in this store. Wanted fishing bait and found frozen squid. A 10 minter walk from Virginia Gorda Yacht Harbor. It was a nice peaceful walk on a Sunday morning as the wild chickens serenaded me most of the way. You can stop by the NAPA on your walk and grab some eyelashes from the vending machine. What a perfect morning.

An excellent shopping experience. This place is able to sell in bulk, seems ready to provision any boat. Two entire isles of hard liquor as well as lots of meat, dairy, and fresh fruits and vegetables.
Very friendly staff, and if you’re looking for a ride, sometimes one of the customers will drive you to your marina. Thank you Jackson!
