We were overnighting in Bridgetown, staying at a nearby hotel. We chose the Royal Shawarma because of its proximity and the 4.7 rating. The restaurant via on the second floor of a small strip mall. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap, and my wife ordered a fallafal wrap. We were surprised at the long preparation time for the wraps: almost 20 minutes! The place was empty when we arrived, and another couple arrived soon after us. The wraps were warm. The chicken was tasty and plentiful, although I am used to having more salad and pickle in my Shawarma. The garlic sauce was good. My wife enjoyed her fallafal wrap. Not too greasy, and tasty. The food seemed reasonable by Barbados standards... You just need some patience for preparation time.

I guess I had a bit of bad luck, seeing all good reviews. I believe it can be ok. But... For me, going there at lunch time for the first time today: Good: clean place, friendly service, quick waiting time. Not so good: falafel mushy with very hard chunks, not exactly what I expected from professionals, rather a first attempt at making it. Tasteless - I was told it has tomatoes, lettuce, tahini, hummus and pickles. Sounds great, I still can remember amazing combos like that at night street stalls of Damascus or Beirut. All full of flavour, the falafel being king of flavours - then all slightly roasted between two hot plates for a minute. But here I did not taste any pickles at all, or anything else for that matter. the only strong flavour was the old frying oil. Not so pleasant. Service was quick, but maybe because of it the wrap was fridge-cold! Rather disappointing all together. Now I have a weird feeling in my tummy and need to finish writing, may need to go quickly to - well you know where. 2 and 1/2 stars is quite generous. Mostly for clean interior and the smile I received. I do not feel like trying anything else there. You lost your chance to make a good impression, sorry.

First time going there and it was really nice, I ordered one meal and didn't ask for anything additional (cuz I forgot to ask for another knife and fork) and was presented with my meal and another knife and fork and two plates for myself, and my plus one whom I was sharing with. Excellent vibe, very clean and tidy place; nice colours and really aesthetically pleasing. Great taste, the sweet potato we had was really delicious and the fatoush and hummus (with a little olive oil) were to talk/write home about 🙂. Their hot sauce is proper hot btw, definitely recommend it. God bless and be kept safe in the Lord, guys. Amen.👋🏾🙂🔥✝️

Best thing about Royal Shwarma welches is the cashier, That shwarma wrap combo was clearly the temu version of a real Shwarma wrap. I had a lamb and beef Shwarma wrap, the lamb was hard, had on to much lime. I had better Shwarma wraps overseas.
