We had a lovely time at Sandals. The rooms are nice - though there was noise during our stay of construction right outside our room every morning. Our balcony and tub were very nice. Shower was amazing. The property is large but easy to navigate. The pools were nice. Hot tubs close a little early, but the rooftop one stays warm. Eating is a bit of a challenge. We never managed to get a reservation at any higher end restaurants. We would go to other restaurants and the wait was always over an hour. That part was exhausting. We stuck with the lesser food due to time and waiting. We did get a couples massage out in the garden which was nice as well, but the beeping of trucks coming and going was very loud. While we had a great time (Valentine's Day Weekend), we will not return as the challenges made the price seem not worth it.

We had the most amazing time! Stayed in a sky pool suite with an insanely gorgeous beach view. Sipping coffee at dawn, wading in our private pool was heaven. Our butlers were fantastic - shout out to De’Angelo, Bernard, and Shannakay. Everyone we encountered was very friendly with a smile and a hello. Good food and we loved trips to Saltys for Americanos & donuts! Though we like to try new places, it’s so tempting to just come back here and do it again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Enjoyed our 4th stay at Sandals Royal Barbados. Main problem for us, just too short. 7 Nights isn't enough. The St Lawrence building is a great location but until the renovation has some AC issues, the rooms though are gorgeous and we love the location by the pool, Heart & Soul for yogurt and a protein shake in the morning. Portofino's still does an incredible steak and it's always busy, no reservations but put your name in and relax at the bar. The reviews are mixed and I have no idea why. There's incredible options from bowling to diving and lots of different spots at the resort to enjoy yourselves. Chairs and towels.. at the pool, no idea why you would pay thousands to hit the Caribbean and not sit in the gardens or on the beach. The main pool is loud, busy and if you want to sit there it could be a challenge. Otherwise, there's lots of room and spots to enjoy.

I don’t even know where to start…… The cleanest part of the resort seems like the 24 hour lobby area . The room was old and furniture looks like it was picked out from a dumpster with stains all over it . The pillow cases smelled like toe jams and the room smelled like mold. For the amount of money spent I was very disappointed. The restaurant food definitely will leave you on the toilet so be sure to get extra toilet paper rolls. The first night at dinner I saw a roach just casually walking around while we were eating . The next day I saw another roach this time it had wings . Not to mention they have cats and chickens just walking around like a farm . First day at the resort I was definitely ready to head back home . The best part for me was the Spa and the service . No one told me this was an older retired , senior citizen resort . This place is definitely overrated . I will for sure be staying far far away from anything sandal resort related !

The only thing this place has going for it is the property. Many choices of restaurants, bars, and pools. The rooms were nice but wreaked of mildew. The food was tolerable but overall bad. Be prepared for stomach problems. The beach was nice to sit on but the water is so rough its difficult to get in. We stayed a week and never saw calm waters. For every 1 staff that was friendly, there were 4 that were not. I dont know what it is about Barbados people but they do not want to look you in the face or in the eyes when speaking. They mumble under their breath so you have to keep asking them to repeat, then act put out to repeat. They are SO TERRIBLY SLOOOW. I dont think I have ever seen a group of people move so purposely slow. The staff rides bicycles around the property and I could walk faster. Incredibly annoying hospitality. If I can even call it hospitality. I feel sorry for anyone that books an event or wedding here. Be prepared to be disappointed.
