We booked Sea Shed well ahead of arriving in Barbados after hearing great things, and overall it lived up to the hype. We arrived early and enjoyed a couple of cocktails while taking in the wonderful ocean views — a great way to start the afternoon. The restaurant was very busy, and while the atmosphere was lively, the service was at times a little slow. This wasn’t an issue for us as we weren’t in a rush, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re on a tight schedule. For starters, we had the short rib and the octopus, both of which were very enjoyable and well prepared. For the main course, we chose the lobster tails and grilled shrimp — fresh, flavourful, and nicely presented. I did ask for a mixed salad on the side, which unfortunately lacked a bit of lustre compared to the rest of the meal. That said, the overall experience was good, with beautiful views, a relaxed vibe, and some lovely dishes. Sea Shed is definitely worth a visit while in Barbados, especially if you’re happy to settle in and enjoy the setting at an unhurried pace.

Second visit to Sea Shed, as we booked dinner for our first night on our last trip in 2025. Never wanting to judge on one (possibly off) night in 2025 we strolled up and this time grabbed a beach-side sofa to hold up on, for the afternoon and through until sunset. After an initial frosty reception our host softened and was helpful and delight, as was the atmosphere. Chilled music playing throughout our visit with couples and families enjoying the beach and beautiful bay. Food too was great; shared meze (plentiful & flavourful), octopus sharing plate (a savoury sensation) & a tuna poke; (fresh & generous). A pretty decent drinks & wine menu for it's size, added the cherry on the cake. It has to be said, our first visit in 2025 was a disappointment, everything was mideocre, especially the coconut shrimp which quite frankly I'd had better from the likes of Walmart, and with staff trying just that bit too hard to 'entertain' & encourage, the bill at the end of the evening certainly didn't reflect our enjoyment. Very glad therefore that we gave it a second chance. PS, sorry no foody photos....it really didn't last very long.

Had a fantastic lunch yesterday at Sea Shed. Massive compliments to the chef, the food was all excellent. The service was top notch, made extra special thanks to Shep (apologies if I have the spelling wrong) who was super helpful and fun. We had a very relaxed an long lunch. It’s a memory from this trip that will last a lifetime. It’s our second visit, we came for the first time last year. It more than exceeded our already high expectations from last year. Great job 🙏🏻🙌 Booking highly recommended, especially at high season.

Place looks like taken from a movie or a wedding. In front of the sea. Gorgeous decor and ambiance. They had a DJ with great music. The tuna tartare is the best we've ever had. We devoured it! The poke bowl also the best one likely ever. The coconut mahi mahi and the barracuda were also fantastic. Would love to go back.

World class all around. Our waiter Javon was perfect, very helpful and friendly but still professional. Food was excellent, atmosphere incredible Thai is a relatively small beach and establishment which means not too crowded. Definitely come here to get away from the masses and crowds
