I went to see Dr Forde in March 2025 with three different skin related concerns. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled as was so impressed and happy with the service. Dr Forde took time on each of my concerns to review and diagnose. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I’d recently moved from California to the island and found him to be superior to anyone I’d seen in California. I felt the price was very reasonable and fair. Highly recommend!

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Adrian Forde on recommendation of my primary care doc after explaining to her that I had hyperpigmentation on my chin that seemed to come from nowhere after having years of clear skin. She recommended that maybe the hyperpigmentation was from increased hair growth on my chin and that laser could help. I went to Dr. Forde for what was supposed to be a free consultation on laser. Once I arrived, the young lady at the desk gave me a note card and I believe I was asked for my name, contact and maybe date of birth (don't remember fully) and that was it. I did not fill out a health questionnaire at all detailing my health. This is important. Once inside Dr. Forde took me into his office in the back and asked me to hold up a magnifying mirror up to my neck. He then explained to me that he didn't think my issue was because of hair growth but a rare skin condition called confluent reticulated papillomatosis. I was immediately confused and bells went off that go off when you don't think what someone is saying makes alot of sense. He explained it's a rare condition and that doctors don't really know why it occurs but that I have it. I was confused because at no point did I provide any information to the doctor on my existing health conditions prior to this "diagnosis". I'm not sure how you can determine with minimal information that I have a rare skin condition. He told me that I would have to take antibiotics for this condition which was an immediate NO for me. I took the script knowing I'd throw it in the trash. I even googled the condition while in his office and noted that you can take retinoids as a defense of this condition and mentioned to him that I have retinoids at home and could use that. He said that he thought the antibiotics were best. We had some small talk about medications I take (after the diagnosis mind you) and then he asked about my preexisting conditions. Even though I mentioned a few conditions that I later found out can cause hyperpigmentation, he still didn't say oh maybe it's something else. He was convinced with minimal information that I had a rare skin condition. I also mentioned I was taking oral minoxidil to help with hair growth on my head; again this is important and still he didn't even suggest that something else could be going on with me. I ended up paying $100 BBD for a visit that was supposed to be free I guess because he determined I actually had another "condition". I later went to Caribbean Dermatology & Laser on the same day for a laser consult (I set up 2 that day to see who I would want to see out of the 2), and the laser technician (not even the doctor) did a FULL health questionnaire on me and told me that the hyperpigmentation could be from a number of things, including the very minoxidil that I told the doctor I was taking. I have since stopped the minoxidil and waited to see if it was the culprit. 3 months later and no hyperpigmentation. I am writing this review because I believe it's irresponsible for a doctor to make a diagnosis with limited information and then prescribe drugs to take for this condition. I would have been on a prolonged course of antibiotics which would not even have done anything because I would have still been on the minoxidil not knowing it was the actually issue. Dr. Forde even mentioned that sometimes you have to take the antibiotics for up to a month. This is very irresponsible. I hope my review helps others.

I have been seeing Dr Forde for several years now. I live between Barbados and the UK and always consult Dr Forde for any of my dermatology issues. I choose him over any consultants in the UK and I highly recommend him and his practice.

My husband went there today January 4th with a long overdue condition that causes bumps and patches in his head. When he got home he said that man is a very good down to earth person not like the others that just race you out with no solution to the problem. He's not easily Impressed so Dr Andrew I'll give you your stars. Exceptional service 👏
