For a person of more mature years, I thought whilst on this beautiful isle, it would be good to revisit my youth and book some surf lessons.
Staying at Sugar Bay, Smileys Surf shop is well stocked surf shop with everything a surf dude needs and being a two minute walk from the hotel was perfect.
Trig , owner and instructor, was fantastic ,very patient and encouraging instructor who made my session very enjoyable and I learnt
a lot and look forward to doing this again at some point , hopefully when we return next year.
Would definitely recommend.
Now, to let this aging body recover 😂😂
Thanks Trig, will try and focus on that rear foot.

Trigger is amazing! Surf lessons and you can also can rent boogie boards for crane beach fun on island with all ages of kiddos!!!

Thanks for those great two mornings on the water! Trig is really a great surf coach. I had just two lessons but caught more waves and learned more about paddling than in my 2 years of my surfing journey. Thanks so much! I will definitely return again for more!
He also has a nice little surfshop with the prettiest surf bikinis designed by a lokal professionell surfgirl and you can rent surfboards in his shop. Worth to step in and find nice things to take home.

I had an awesome refresher surf lesson with Trigger in Freights Bay. He was really clear, friendly and patient and got me catching green waves easily. We saw sooo many turtles too! Also did board rental for a week which was great - really stylish boards perfect for the waves. Highly recommend this surf school! (The photo is of my husband who also had a lesson at Freights!)

Outstanding knowledge of surfing and showed care & patience in the water with 3 beginner surfers. 10/10. Would recommend Trig to anyone
