Great spot - fun way to spend a few hours - if you like rum , this is a nice, convenient, and quick tasting and tour. Perfect for cruise ship passengers. If you have time and want an authentic experience- book a trip up to Mount Gay distillery on the North part of the island. This is a tourist curated perfect stop for some rum and fun in the sun. Nice gift shop, fun elevated tasting platform and a beach club! They also put out some of the fest runs in the Caribbean.

Ash our tour and rum tasting guide was amazing. She was funny insightful and super upbeat. 12 people approx on our tour and she remembered each and everyone's name. So happy we chose this tour above the others... the runs are so different then many others that I have tried here. Unique for sure are the xo and the coconut but dont sleep on any of them. Total game changer in the run world

The Best Location for a Tour and Tasting, add in the beach day and you’ll enjoy relaxing afterwards! On 1/27/26, we enjoyed a tour, tasting and a beach day at the famous Stade’s Rum Distillery, established in 1893. This is the only Rum Distillery located on Brighton Beach, aged by the ocean. We went on the first tour of the day, with our very capable guide Atyia. A nice touch when you arrive, they offer you a welcome rum punch and get you prepared for your tour with a short presentation, so you can enjoy your drink. Then you’re guided off to the distillery. Atiya was knowledgeable, helpful, and made sure we understood what the process of distillation entailed. She was also engagingly fun to listen to by including us into the demonstrations. We were a small groups of 12 people, which made it easy to ask questions. After the tour we were taken to the upper deck of the pavilion, with an amazing view of the ocean and beach below. There we had the opportunity to taste a number of the different aged rums differing in levels of alcohol, sweetness and flavor. We took advantage of both the outdoor cafe for a bite to eat and the beach chairs and umbrella set up and waiting on the beach. The locker rooms were perfect for changing into our swimsuits, leaving our things, and cleaning up before we left. All in all, it was a great way to spend our day and we would highly recommend it. (Be sure to book this tour ahead of time, because it sells out days before. I also recommend bringing bug spray, since the biting flies can be a deterrent.)

Our Stade’s tour day was one of our trip favorites. The distillery was a very cool up-close look at the process of making rum, the tasting was delicious and the beach area on their property is spectacular. The facilities are so nice and clean, they offer a nice variety of tasty food and drinks… and the staff… they are absolutely the nicest humans!!!! Plan to stay and enjoy the quiet, beautiful, private-feeling beach… it was wonderful!

Distillery tour was interesting and entertaining with Sarai as the guide. Tasting rum at the source overlooking the ocean was the best. Get dropped off and make a day of it with drinks on the beach. Make sure to leave some room in your carryon for some special bottles only available at the gift shop.
