This was a very nice little restaurant located on the lower end of Orient Beach. They have chairs and umbrellas which cost $20 for 2 chairs, 1 umbrella, and 2 drinks. Service to the chairs was very quick and drink prices reasonable (bucket of 6 beers for $15). While you can get food delivered to your chair, it was windy so we opted to eat inside the restaurant. The lobster puff pastry was incredible!

"Stopped by String Beach while visiting Orient Bay and the food was incredible. The presentation was beautiful and the French-Caribbean fusion is a must-try. Great atmosphere and the perfect spot to spend the afternoon. We got the package (two beach chairs and two drinks for $20 US dollars). We ate at the restaurant… my husband had the Thai tuna salad (very fresh with seared tuna, fresh greens, & spring rolls). I had the farm chicken Moist chicken bites with morels mushrooms in a light cream sauce with purée of sweet potato on the side & a warm salad of greens & vegetables, rice and crusty fresh bead. Amazing! Fine French cuisine, family owned (the papa cooks and son serves, on the beach!) Highly recommend!!!

Well worth the trip. Affordable drinks and good service. We didn’t stay long enough for food but other reviews have positive food reviews. Enjoy an entire afternoon here!

I am Asian. I paid for drinks. I wanted to sit in the front. I got permission to sit down under the blue umbrella by one waiter and I got refused by another one. I was asked to leave. I am one of the cruise visitors. They said those seats are reserved for high season visitors, aka, I am one of them. Also, no “reserved” sign. Meanwhile, a group of Indian family came in and sat down. They would also like to pay and have a nice seat. Unfortunately, they were also asked to leave. This is pure RACISM. Also, I speak French so I understand what they were talking about. I left the cash and leave. Price is reasonable if you are not one of the people who got discriminated. 10 dollars a chair and an umbrella and drink included. I guess French racism is well preserved here. 10 mins later, I came back and these seats are filled with white customers.
