From the moment we arrived, Will and his team made us feel at home. The beautifully decorated suites had every comfort, with a well-equipped kitchen for cooking and super-comfy beds that gave us the best sleep.
The spacious balconies were a dream, with hammocks and plenty of seating—perfect for relaxing. The lovely pool was another highlight, offering plenty of space to unwind and listen to the sound of the crashing waves!
The bar was lots of fun with live music at the weekend - cocktails and food were both outstanding! Really nice vibe of locals and visitors!
Every detail made our stay truly special—we can’t wait to return! Massive thanks to Will, Matt and the team for having us and hopefully see you again next year!

I'm a bit surprised at the overwhelming positivity / high ratings in the reviews that I read before booking Surfers Bay Resort. Starting with the positives, I believe that the location is exactly what I was looking for. It's out of the way of the busy Bridgetown area while still being with reach of all the key areas of the island. It was quiet at night, beautiful location, and the staff were very friendly when I saw them the one time.
With that said, there were so many issues with this hotel that I cannot in good faith go higher than an average rating. There were ants all over the place, and not just ants, but flies as well. All night we would wake up to flies within 4 feet of us. A very simple upgrade that would go a long way is screens on the windows. The toilet was one of the most pathetic toilets I've experienced. I've been to rural parts of Thailand with better toilets. You'll need at least 5+ flushes to get anything down. On top of that, at least 80% of our showers were warm at best.
The last detail I will complain about is the balcony. Staying in a suite I expected a bit more privacy. However, you basically share a slightly offset balcony with the suite next to you. Not sure it's worth the price you pay given all the issues.

Had a fantastic 4 night stay in this lovely property hosted by Matt and Will. It has a fantastic secluded private beach, nice rooms, a beautiful pool, ocean facing gazebo for that romantic dinner and a lovely host. The on-site restaurant served really great food and had live band playing on Friday and Saturday night- which was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this beautiful property on the south of the island.

Lovely experience! Super pretty apartments, beautiful sea view, the perfect mix of quiet evenings and nice live music every now and then. And most importantly, very friendly hosts. Thanks so much for making our stay as comfortable as can be, Will! We’ll definitely be back.

My experience here broke my heart. Having to write this has left me so heavy I took my time before posting.
The head of housekeeping at this resort went through my belongings, desecrated my dead father’s cremated remains, verbally abused me, racially abused me. And the owner refuses to hold her accountable. He instead suggested that I, a paying customer, should sit down and talk to the housekeeper who did all the aforementioned. I don’t know any business owner that would ever be so foolish as to think this was an acceptable way to handle such egregiously awful behavior from their employee toward a paying guest.
I loved this place. Absolutely adored this place. And had the owner simply held his employee accountable I would have continued to love this place. I would continue to be a patron. As it stands, I WAS an OG client. Long term customer of this establishment. Massively supportive of the new owner and his vision.
When he told me that he would do nothing, I decided that day that surfers bay could never see another dime from me. I will never go back to this place. And that isn’t just unfair it’s unfortunate. If anything at all happens here to your belongings due to their housekeeper? If anything is damaged or stolen they will do nothing. Not even make her apologize.
Being here traumatized me and took me back to the pit of my grief. And all I wanted from my stay was peace. I never got that.
It is shameful that the owner chose to call my righteous upset and hurt over how their housekeeper violated my privacy and vandalized my dead father’s remains “drama.” But that is all I got. They will no doubt reply to this and definitely try to make me the bad guy. I was directly texted by the owner and called “evil” for leaving this review in another place.
But what is evil? Is the fact that their dirty handed housekeeper even touched my belongings. What is evil is that their dirty handed housekeeper desecrated my dear departed father’s remains. What is evil is dismissing my upset trauma and pain from the enabled abuses as “drama” and refusing any form of resolution. I merely asked for an apology. And I was refused that basic form of resolution.
I never ever wanted to have a bad thing to say about this place or these people. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I loved surfers bay. But you cannot treat people this way. When your employee disrespects, curses at, dehumanizes and violates a paying guest? You do not tell the guest to sit down and have a chat with the very person who robbed them of peace, who disrespected them, who dehumanized them, who violated their privacy and desecrated their fathers remains.
This was ugly and hateful treatment, and I never deserved it. This man knew I was grieving my father and did absolutely nothing about the desecration of my father’s remains by his head of housekeeping. I would have fired my housekeeper on the spot if my employee did even a fraction of the mess I was subjected to.
The owners can reply all they like with lies innuendos and slander. But hear me well. I was violated, traumatized and disrespected here. And if you choose to stay here? Their housekeeper will do the same to you and they will do nothing about it.
This broke my heart in a way I didn’t even know possible. And the owner chooses to center his feelings and his needs over the deep pain caused to his guest by his housekeeper. Typical of someone who refuses to check his employee.
I have items damaged, and destroyed due to their housekeeper. Things I cannot replace or repair. But the desecration of my father’s remains will last with me a lifetime. I nearly passed out when I saw that.
I will never forget this nor forgive it. This is beyond repair and the owner is the cause of it.
Edited: anyone who wants proof needs only look in a group on Facebook called Bajan Customer Service experiences. Screen shots are there after the manager tried to threaten to sue. will prove his reply to be a lie. I would post here but I don’t want the review removed from Google.
