Surreal Décor in Barbados…where do I start? I live in the UK and based on the amazing images I saw on Instagram, Facebook and their website, I decided to use Surreal Décor as the decorators for my destination wedding in February 2020. Planning a destination wedding has it’s challenges, from the time zone difference to the delays due to most contact with suppliers being via email/messenger. After a year of planning, I arrived in Barbados just over a week before my wedding date, my intention was to sign off the final details in the 1st couple days, then use the rest of the time to relax before the big day. I’d organised a meeting at the wedding venue where I’d be a) seeing the venue for the first time b) meeting the team from the venue for the first time and c) meeting Latoya from Surreal Décor for the 1st time. To my absolute shock and horror, within a few minutes of being at the venue it was shared that the coordinator I’d been dealing with from the venue had been fired with no handover. The only thing the new coordinator knew about my wedding was the date. So months of planning gone down the drain, instead of signing off the final details, I now found myself in the position of having to go through EVERY single detail. I’m a migraine sufferer and had only recently gone back to work after having a migraine for 8 consecutive weeks. So it wasn’t only the wedding at risk with this situation, it was also my health. It was in this moment of chaos that Latoya stepped in - half angel, half wonder woman - and just sorted everything. Now let’s be clear, the issue with the venue had nothing to do with Latoya or her company and there was absolutely no expectation or quite frankly, no monetary incentive for Latoya to take hold of the situation like she did. She just made EVERYTHING happen and it was only through her involvement that I had the confidence the wedding would be everything we had been planning for. (which in the end was epic) Would I recommend Surreal Décor? Yes is too small a word to really justify how much I would recommend them. You can look at amazing pictures on Instagram, Facebook or websites, I’m sure there are other event companies that would do a good job with the décor but, what I got from Surreal Décor you can’t put a price on, it was the peace of mind that I was in safe hands and come what may, I had absolutely nothing to worry about due to their extremely high levels of professionalism, resilience, problem solving skills and at the heart of it, integrity for the right thing to be done.

One week leading up to our event in Barbados we reached out to Surreal Decor to transform our venue at Panenka Restaurant at Rockley Country Club. Latoya was super efficient, professional, and timely and worked with us for even our last minute requests. Latoya and her team are incredible!!! Their attention to detail and patience was unmatched. My fiancée and I were extremely pleased with the entire set-up to the point where my fiancée asked if she could take the rose frame and the sign home with her😄lool...Surreal Decor definitely made it a memorable night❤️

Where do I begin when everything was exceptional from the day we met with Surreal. You know they love what they do because it shows in the results, they pay very close attention to details and everything was beautiful. I just left everything up to Latoya and she did not disappoint. We had very steady rainfall for the whole week prior to the wedding and by the Wednesday Latoya already had a plan in motion to save our special day. In a couple calls she had a new location and it worked out perfectly. I recall walking down the aisle and saying to myself this room is beautiful I couldn' t believe it was the same empty plain room I had seen two days prior. Everything was perfectly placed and the arch, it was beautiful. Surreal Decor is the perfect choice for your events, from decor right down to the food Surreal have you covered.
