My family and I stayed in this cottage in 2021 over the winter holiday and it is an absolute must-stay for a bit of refuge. The house has a great veranda, well appointed rooms, laundry, and a full kitchen that met all of our needs. We used the grocery concierge service as it was difficult to grab groceries over Christmas.
We did have a little furry visitor for a few nights, so we made sure not to leave food out. This is island living, so it's to be expected. Mosquito plug-ins and incense helped as well. There is access to a small semi-private beach shared with the two story apartments in front of the cottage. Access is via two runs of stairs.
We experienced clear and warm water with no sargassum and minimal current... soft sands for lounging. Short rain showers midday were common (aka "liquid sunshine"), but they usually only lasted 5-15 minutes. Also, the owner next-door told us about the history of the cottage (self-built) and the grounds keeper was very friendly. Convenience shops and a small luxury shopping mall are a decent walk down the road, but the two island busses are frequent if the heat it too much.
I hope this little gem maintains its character and continues to attract guests who respect the property for the sanctuary it is.

Oh my goodness we stayed here 20 yrs ago next year when my husbands Royal Navy ship was in town and it was absolutely stunning and still looks it! Would love to return. We were expecting self catering but got a cook and a security man too! So impressed. Not saying you would get the cook and security guard now, but we were so well looked after (with Owners Direct then). I will work hard on my husband to plan for a 20 yr revisit without the children who are now in their 20’s and 30’s!! Can’t wait!

Property is totally amazing and very comfortable, few steps from the beach. The beach in front is a thin strip and looks very good, for walking and sunbathing. The waters are shallow and calm, but the rocks on the seabed make swimming for younger kids a but difficult with low tides.
