I took my mum to Tapas for her birthday per her selection. It was the first time either one of us had been to the restaurant and I can say we both enjoyed it and will definitely be back in the future. Though we did arrive late for our reservation, the staff were very welcoming and quickly directed us to our seats. The food was tasted and the wait staff were very nice and explained the contents of dishes when asked. The beach side atmosphere is so lovely and breezy, we were seated on the top deck overlooking the boardwalk which allowed us to sea the beautiful full moon above, the sea and persons below taking walks and enjoying the boardwalk. All in all, it was a very nice time spent at Tapas. We will be back sometime.

Excellent view of the water both day and night (they illuminate the shoreline, so you can see the waves after dark). The food is good overall—the Marlin was great, the curry was solid, and the pesto seemed to be made with the wrong nuts, so it wasn’t as flavorful as it should be. Starters were good, and we tried three desserts, all of which were enjoyable. Service was very attentive. Overall, a very good experience with an amazing view.

Amazing location right on the boardwork! Plenty of seating and good service. The dishes started out great but declined throughout the course of our dinner. Huge portions and a well priced menu. Unsure if this was because we had a 6pm reservation and they needed the table at 730p. Mains were dry and meat was tough. Ultimate margarita - phenomenal - perfectly balanced Light and fully bread - delicious and soft, with an interesting mustard type spread. Beef and cabbage spring rolls - 2 per order. Crispy and flavorful - plenty of meat inside - didn't really taste the cabbage Caesar salad with Panko shrimp - perfectly dressed, shrimp was juicy with a crunchy panko coating Pork ossobucco - lovely Bajan flavors and some nice heat. The meat did not fall off the bone and was quite tough for ossobucco though. Catch of the day (marlin) - rubbed (w Bajan spices and sauteed in olive oil) the server said he would tell the chef to do a light fry so it wouldn't be dry. Unfortunately, it was dry 😢. Well seasoned though! Banana pudding - perimeter was dry and didn't have much flavor. Luckily the caramel ice cream and dulce de luche sauce helped. The inside was at least soft!

We decided to walk in because the rain started pouring. The friendly reception gave us a nice corner table on the second floor. We started with shark fritter 🤭 then Pork Ossobuco & Chicken Katsu. The pork Ossobuco was the winner! Soft tender and delicious 🤤 The French Merlot was smooth & complimented our meal. Service by Nolan was top notch. He was super friendly, attentive and funny. We couldn’t ask for a better first evening in Barbados on a heavy rain night!! Thank you Tapas team!!

Tapas offers a beautiful beachfront dining experience, with one of its biggest strengths being the setting itself. The restaurant sits right along the water, giving diners a calm, open view of the sea that makes lunch there especially enjoyable. From the bright blue seating to the clean white décor and relaxed coastal style, the atmosphere feels fresh, elegant, and very much in keeping with the beachside location. We visited at lunchtime, when the restaurant was not crowded, and this made for a very relaxed experience. Service was quick and efficient, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. The food was also very good, well prepared, and enjoyable overall. In terms of rating, I would give Tapas an overall 7/10. The food earns a 7/10, the ambience and beachfront view also earn a 7/10, and the staff for friendliness and efficiency deserve an 8/10. A couple of downsides are worth noting. If you want one of the better beachfront seats, it is best to make a reservation in advance, and parking can be somewhat limited. Still, Tapas is a very solid choice for a relaxed seaside lunch with good food, efficient service, and lovely views.
