The first town in Barbados initially called Jamestown after King James now Holetown after this river shown here. The River was larger in the 1800's and reminded settlers of a river near the Thames called the Hole. That name stuck.

This place is so cool. I even saw monkeys and a bird I never saw before. Wished I could seen how this looked back then
