This Cathedral is the largest church in the Caribbean and was lovely to visit for Mass! For Catholics wishing to attend Sunday Mass, as of April 2026, Mass times are 8am and 10:30am (I struggled to find this information out!). Beware that this may be a longer Mass than you are used to (at least from what we are used to in the US)—with a 40min homily, some exuberant sung additions to the Mass, and extensive (but welcoming!) blessings at the end, it was a solid 2 hours! For this organist, I was sad to see the old console in the back of the church, which apparently succumbed to termite damage. That being said, the steel drums were a lovely expression of inculturation in the Mass. The architecture is in a traditional style with a wide nave, but the artwork is beautifully vivid. Pictures and memorials of the 3 martyrs of St. Lucia are prominently displayed and the side altar/chapel has a striking visage of the crucified Jesus in the apse with a beautiful Good Shepherd on the tabernacle door and a paschal lamb below. In the back of the sanctuary, the posters with the wounded hands of Christ were thoughtfully aligned with the depiction of the Blessed Sacrament in the center, placing the Blessed Sacrament as the heart of Christ—beautiful and intentional catechetical theology!

Absolutely beautiful old church that is still in use by the locals. Craftsmanship that is no longer being used in churches. The detailed work is outstanding. The portrait of Jesus is heart wrenching.

It the cathedral and a minor basilica. It is almost 125 years old and it is very big. I ust say this is the best colourful cathedrals i have seen in the Carribians. Vincent colours, but it is fading. It must have been a marvel to the eyes in its prime days. The alter is very unique in style and very welcoming community here.

Really quite a neat cathedral. Lots of wood, painted in unique ways. Worth a visit. Biggest challenge is that traffic around here is terrible. If you're driving, tough to find where to park and then be prepared for a long wait in traffic. Otherwise, if you're in the area, I'd recommend visiting!

The exterior of the church was simple and clean lined. There was an ongoing service during the time of visit on a Sunday morning. The hymns were being sung, creating a lively vibe. The church was not excessively renovated and exuded a warm and inviting ambience.
