Our server Naoko was excellent. She's definitely a gem! She was very attentive, and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Flavors on the food were great, however, my steak was closer to well done that I wanted, and my gf garlic mashed potatoes tasted "off". Overall though, it was an enjoyable dinner.

Went after watching "David's been here" on YouTube it looked so good but it was a total flop. Restaurant was clean service was good but food was terrible. Ordered the famous ribs and scallops with risotto it had zero taste no salt, could not taste the rum at all and the ribs were dry and tough. We asked for a takeout container so the waitress didn't feel bad and tossed it. The only good thing was the drinks and the fried shrimp. Total waste of money $280 BB that went into the garbage! Wont recommend at all.

Not a good experience . The restaurant charged $24 for an Iced Americano . They do not offer an Iced Americano on there menu , so they charged for a coffee and expresso. That’s not what I had.
When I objected , the restaurant operator said he would call the police if he wasn’t paid for both. I have included photos of Barry’s down the street as another alternative. They are less than half the price for the same drink. See photo.
I’m a business owner. This restaurant operator could use a course in customer service. This could have easily been avoided .
Finally , and much more importantly , if you decide to try this place , please tip your server in cash, as the staff is not receiving your credit card tip.
I am told by the staff he is keeping all the credit card tips . Expect him to deny this. If this post accomplishes anything today, I hope it resolves the tip issue for the waitstaff.
Note , the hotel owner does NOT operate the restaurant , but leases it to the tenant. She is not in anyway part of this issue, and doesn’t deserve to be included in this problem.

It was a lovely restaurant with rum inspired dishes. The food was really delicious and the drinks were strong! The servers were also excellent. However, while we were dining there was a huge party that visited with about 20+ young school boys and they were super loud and boisterous. It was a bit unbearable and we had to be shouting to speak to each other across the table. It was a bit annoying and spoiled our experience.

Firstly I’d like to give a massive shout out to the staff on duty today. They were amazing and the only thing that made the visit good.
Now, for the main event: I contacted Time Out to ask if they were showing the Six Nations Rugby. They responded and said yes. We turned up and there were 3 TV screens in the bar/restaurant. The game was found and put on but there was no sound! We requested that the sound was turned up and the bar manager explained that the owner didn’t want this. We were the ONLY people in the bar at the time but had to watch the game with cheesy 80’s music playing instead of rugby. The bar team were apologetic . NOTE we were told that if we wanted to watch the game and not buy drinks it would be $40 each.. We were buying lunch and drinks so not needed BUT $40 to watch a sports game with NO SOUND?
I then contacted the main desk again and the sound was increased slightly. The owner of the restaurant found and had insisted that his team turned it down again.
I emailed the owner during the game to explain all of this and, as yet, have received no response
We spent over $150 during the game as it was too late to find another bar.
Having now read previous reviews it would seem that the new owner is trying to make something out of the restaurant. What a mistake! Time Out used to be busy for rugby with ex pats and holiday makers alike... now, it’s like a ghost town and the owner doesn’t have the business acumen to recognise that the couple that spent $150 was the only business he had!!
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO ENJOY SPORTS
But the team here are fanastic so this is no reflection on them at all.
I have the bill and videos to show how empty the place was when our request was refused and email ignored
Rookie mistake. We will never return as people who spends six months every year on this lovely island
TOP TIP FOR OWNER: if you don’t want sports to be shown in your restaurant, may I suggest you remove the TV’s?
