Big is the best word I would use to describe Tolo. Seemed the sponges here were massive compared to other dive sites on the island. The entry isn't bad but you'll probably want to hand your gear down the small ledge to the beach from the parking area and gear up on the lower level.

A very easy shore dive entry. Literally steps down and into water from car. Plenty of small fish schools and any depth you wish to dive. Nothing special in terms of species and we didn't see any thing large. Mike/no current, small chop did to 15-20kt wind from SE.

We really enjoyed snorkeling at Tolo this morning. While we didn't see anything overly large, the reef was thriving. Corals, sponges, etc. all looked very healthy. Plenty of species of fish and we even saw a pair of reef squid. There was a bit of a current, so we elected to swim against it to start and make our way back flowing with it. Another magical underwater experience in Bonaire! *Note: it is a one way road leading to Tolo, so don't miss it!

Guide book claims there is a stand of staghorn coral right next to the marker buoy, but it is all dead and mostly broken. Still a great wall site to dive.
