My wife and two adult children and I didn’t know what to expect because we had never experienced such a thing before. We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would rate it as one of the most fun ‘non beach’ activities we did during our 7 days in St Maarten. I asked my family members what their input would be for this review and they all said “highly recommended “ and “would do it again!”
As our host and guide Cristina (no ‘h’ because she saves the h to put in the rhum - see Cristina I paid attention!) was just fabulous - from her way of engaging everyone in the group, her incredible sense of humour, and her amazing knowledge of everything rhum.
We actually will do this again next time we visit the island. Now the tricky part - trying to get 6 bottle of rhum back to Canada 🇨🇦 😬

The Toppers Rhum Distillery Tour was a highlight of our trip—fun, interactive, and informative from start to finish.
I even got to be the chef during the cooking demonstration, which made the experience especially memorable. The team did a great job showing how different rhums enhance flavors and explaining the distillation process in an engaging, easy-to-follow way.
A special shoutout to Sparkle, who was an exceptional host. Despite it being her first night leading the tour, she was confident, knowledgeable, and welcoming, keeping everyone entertained throughout.
The tour blended history, culture, tastings, and hands-on activities perfectly. Whether you're a rhum enthusiast or simply looking for a unique experience in St. Maarten, I highly recommend Toppers. You'll leave with great memories and a deeper appreciation for rhum.

What a fun tour! Our guide was amazing. Even though some of the flavors were yuck, it was a very cool experience. Please try the Rum Cake and Gelato’s!!

Topper’s Rhum Distillery – 5/5 ⭐️🔥
Late March visit and this was easily one of the highlights of the trip.
From the moment you walk in, it’s a vibe. You’re greeted at the door, reservation confirmed, and immediately welcomed with a rhum punch—which sets the tone QUICK 😂
The tour itself? Super interactive (I’ll keep the details a surprise), but just know… you will be drinking. And not just a little—you’re taking down A LOT of shots. Come prepared to get lit. The rhum tasting was amazing, and the tour guide made it fun. Loved the different flavors.
What really stood out: I’ve been to plenty of distilleries, and this was the first time every single flavor hit. Creative, unique, and things you wouldn’t even think to turn into rhum—but they work.
Shoutout to the tour guide—top tier, super engaging and customer-focused, made the whole experience even better.

This is a must-do in Sint Maarten. Perfect for couples, even better for adult groups, and honestly a great way to kick off your trip.

We had so much fun doing the Topper’s Rhum Tour on Thursday, May 14, 2026 and I don’t even drink. But I did that day! We sampled so many Rhum flavors and unique combinations and all were delicious. The tour was informative, hands on and our host Julia (I hope I got her name right) did an excellent job. And my daughter and I had a great time as chef and bartender. Whether you’re a visitor or a resident, like my daughter and son in law, this should be on your list of must do’s while in St. Maarten.
